Following up with his ‘foot on the label’s door’ with remixes for the label head AFFKT second album and Brunetto + Bearoid EP, along with a single track on the 8th Years label compilation, Fernando Lagreca is now on the game with a 3-tracker EP plenty of new sounds to discover.
 His palette of sonic provocations based on a long-term career in which he developed uncountable hardware dawless live sets that brought him to be present at a bunch of the best festivals and clubs overseas, is a truly melting point of 90’s and 2000’s analog frequencies combined with dark and subtle arpeggios to evolve into luminous and rambling phases.
Asphys on the opening duties make us breath, pick air and relay on the dark and spaced rhythm along with a sort of hypnotic state that takes us from one side to the other as if it were an intricate mantra.
The second track, Undecided leads us into a striking path of colour and movement, guided by those whispering voices barely scratching the surface, to finally get in pair with the theme’s main mood, a filtered guitar masterminded to break sonic boundaries.
Closing the EP, Shifted raises from the memories of breaks danced in 90s raves but with a paradigm shift that invades reason and exerts an unsuspected control that makes us resist without hardly noticing it, we think that we are dancing when actually we are only dreaming.

Premiere: Onur Özman - Weakly Interacting Massive Particles [Sum Over Histories]

Resident wayfarers Sparrow & Barbossa return to MoBlack Records, along with one of the label's reigning songstresses, Nomvula and Goya-nominated griot Cherif Badua on strings. Proponents of immersive sonic voyages, the musical storytellers propel even deeper with Nomvula’s lyrical prowess and the Kora maestro's permeating strums at the crux. A gift that keeps on giving, 'Amore Profondo' is complemented with three distinctive reinterpretations by a cast of talented remixers. Starting off, Mpumalanga’s Caiiro revels in the ubiquity of 'Amore Profondo' at first beat, drifting its lush vocals into mesmeric rhythms and rapturous melodies. Mozambican artists Breeze and the Sun and Neil Amarey join in to deliver a compelling rendition that marries riveting instrumentals, spirited Afro grooves and transcendent plangencies. Milan's Ivory helms the dark side of 'Amore Profondo,' undulating robust basslines through sharp syncopations, incisive timbre and esoteric nuances - voltaic but 'amore' nonetheless. Rounding out the EP, the original mix gleams with luminous harmonic stratas. A mélange of sensual Latin instruments, vigorous drum patterns and tender melodies, 'Amore Profondo' is a lasting dancefloor ballad that echoes eternal solace through faith, requited devotion through grace, and redemption through soul-driven motion. A radio edit completes the series.
