Ron Flatter rigs his remix with a juicy portion of synthesised slyness, makes open hi hats grind on the surface of our rational thoughts and delivers what we expect to find at the peak of a party. Next up on Kuukou is a varied 2-tracker from venerated German producer Tom Wax. With a career that stretches back to the 1980s, Tom's stripes are well earned and numerous. 

Releases on Toolroom, Suara, WePlay, Plastic City and his own Phuture Wax and collaborations with CJ Bolland, Marshall Jefferson and Mike Dearborn as well as a consistent worldwide touring schedule all work to inspire and inform his time in the studio and here he channels his focus into 2 contrasting shades of Techno.  

'We Are One' kicks things off with a slick, cogent cut. Powerful, wrought percussion is rebounded against a dub-tinged stab that pilots a lean, classy groove. 

Drums continue to stack in deftly woven polyrhythms, generating a magnetic energy across a recording that manages to remain memorable and subtle in equal measures. 

Walking On Clouds follows up with seismic force. A peak-energy kick hammers under roaring stabs while a snaking bass hook bubbles into focus. Captivating sequencing has the track unfolding with a powerful sense of drama as melodic pauses and dizzy rises keep the dance floor guessing.  

A spacious stage is set for Drea Perlon's gentle spoken vocals before an intense, hedonic rush swells up and pops with an intensity that's guaranteed to dynamise any dance floor.
