Biography as of 2012

Meet DJ Jevi Jay, a talented Latin DJ/Producer from New York City. He was born in the Dominican Republic and migrated to New York City at the age of 9. Jevi Jay first lived in Washington Heights and then moved to The Bronx, where he currently resides.

Having knowledge of music equipment and always wanting to be in control of what music is being played, he was frequently asked to DJ private events. This allowed Jevi Jay to develop his skills and to start building his playlist. At the age of 16 Djing became a greater part of his life, while dedicating more time for practice and creating mixes. He would listen and analyze his favorite DJs mixes like DJ Alex Sensation, DJ Danny S, DJ Lobo and others. Soon, people began booking him for their events as they became familiar with his Djing skills. This was an opportunity for to him show his talent within different crowds.

Two years later at the age of 18, DJ Jevi Jay took it to another level. His friend Adan, who at the time was into the promotional business proposed to him to create a team with promoters and Deejays. With Adan, DJ Jevi Jay, and DJ 2Strong, a new movement was born with the name of Freshboy Entertainment. Being in this promotional/DJ team helped DJ Jevi Jay gain experience and meet new promoters. With the knowledge and skills earned, DJ Jevi Jay began Djing in some of the hottest venues in New York City.

Jevi Jay believes that a club DJ should be able to adapt to different crowds, spinning all type of music, which in fact is one of his greatest qualities. His mixes could rock the crowd to Merengue, Bachata, Salsa, Reggaeton, Dembow, Reggae, Hip Hop, R&B, House, Techno, Spanish Rock and more. He is able to recognize the right music for the right time and incorporate the best from old school to what is hot today. 

It took a lot of practice and countless hours of work but in early 2010 DJ Jevi Jay was ready to show the world his remixing skills. Inspired by his favorite remixers he started creating his own remixes. By mid 2010 DJ Jevi Jay’s remixes were being played by many Deejays in New York City. A few months later Jevi Jay became part of a remixing website that focused on Latin urban remixes. In this website Jevi Jay expanded his popularity as a remixer and soon his remixes were being played by most well-known Latin Deejays including DJ Alex Sensation. Later on 2010, DJ Jevi Jay became part of another remix site, the best website when it comes to Latin remixing at the time. As a member of a member of this website, Jevi Jay has improved his remixing talent and gained reputation as an elite remixer. 

At the age of 25, “DJ Jevi Jay” is currently a well known name in the remixing/producing world. He focuses more on quality over quantity, taking his time to create detailed work with its unique sounds. This has been the key for producing remixes that have been played in radio stations such as La Mega 97.9, and by many other Deejays around the world. Specializing in remixes, intro edits, party breaks, and transitions, DJ Jevi Jay has proven to be an elite remixer. He is currently focusing in his latest project, ProLatinRemix.com, which he created to provide DJs around the world with professional Latin remixes, Intros, Breaks, Original Productions, Blends, Transitions, and more. His passion and devotion for this business would take him very far and as quoted from the DJ himself;

Born in Westbury, New York, the talented Shaun Sutton set out to shake up life in the music realm. The talent that we see today started at a very early age. Shaun’s music background jumpstarted in the 6th grade ripping down talent shows, school performances and even youth showcases. Influential artists that helped to develop Shaun Sutton’s range and variety vary from Stevie Wonder & Don Hathaway to Usher, Musiq SoulChild, & Tank. He’s been performing in front of crowds from a young age and one of the most memorable moments was a performance done at his 8th grade graduation. Prior to starting his individual segment Shaun was 1/3 of a group called “L.I.E” where they toured and performed all over. Starting from the auditorium stage he now rips down stages all over the tri-state area. With his unique voice working in whatever realm you can’t put a specific genre on Shaun Sutton’s music. He’s a threat in all aspects of the music game as an “R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop & Soul” combo artist. He recently dropped his EP entitled “Vibe With Me” which will includes his internet buzzing hits “Feedback” and “1 on 1”. He’s now set to release his second studio album “Quarantine Love Sounds” Friday December 18th! By the sounds of his first single off of the album “Late To Work” you can rest assure that this album will be one for the ages!
