‘Meditation Music’ is a seamless thirty-minute piece of ambient soundscape music that is split into six acts. Each act represents a different stage of a journey through nature that when followed, is designed to induce a state of calm in the listener. Clarity can be found within these trees, if only you look hard enough. 

Meditation and spiritual philosophies have played a major role in my recovery from addiction and have allowed me to remain sober now for over four whole years. No matter what challenges you are facing in life, I believe meditation can offer you something of major value. By meditating regularly, I gained previously unseen perspectives and increased my awareness of both myself and the world around me. I now not only feel I have found mental stability but have, in fact, increased my well-being and confidence to realms far beyond what I ever thought myself capable of. 

This is not to boast, but simply to offer example and proof that recovery is entirely possible and can be achieved by anyone. I hope this project will encourage you to try meditation. Whether you use the soundtrack provided or not, I wish you the best of luck on your journey.

With the basslines of his hugely well-received Kuji EP still shaking speakers and delighting fans alike, producer Mungk and DUPLOC join forces once again for 'Temple of Mungk', the Leeds-based artist’s debut album and the second instalment of DUPLOC’s new DUPLOC ROYALS album series.

A true concept project, it follows the narrative of a monk who, after questioning his faith, embarks on an epic journey of rediscovery. Starting in his homeland of China he travels through India and onto the Middle East before landing in Egypt, moving southward through Africa before then sailing home to Asia across the sea, vividly brought to life through Mungk’s inspired use of sampling of traditional instrumentation and field recordings from each country he passes through.

Crafted over the course of 17 tracks, 6 of which specifically selected for a vinyl sampler, this is an astonishingly accomplished body of work and one which showcases Mungk’s undeniably gifted talent of building a rich & cinematic aesthetic through his mesmerising tapestry of sonics, intertwined with soundsystem culture and meditative low end, creating something culturally diverse yet still within the ‘140’ mindset.
