Nick studied composition with Amit Sen (Head of Jazz Arranging and Composition Royal Academy of Music) and began his career as saxophone/woodwind player studying at Guildhall School of Music London along with Bob Reynolds (Snarky Puppy) Jean Toussaint ( Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers) and classical flute with Ian Clarke Professor of flute, Guildhall School of Music, London. 

Drawing experience from a performing career spanning 16 West End shows & international tours with numerous artists including Frank Sinatra, Cynthia Erivo, Acid jazz legends The Brand New Heavies, The Proclaimers and many more. Winner BEST MUSICIAN Edinburgh International Jazz Festival. 

Nick is a BAFTA and IVORS ACADEMY member & London resident.

Lightwaves is an electronic duo featuring ExploderaMera from Sweden and Carlos Damián from Mexico. The first EP Space Base was released in 2012. In 2025 Lightwaves came back with fresh music and a new sound, the new EP Arecibo was released 31/1 2025
