Biography – Indiano

Indiano's passion for music has been a constant companion since his earliest years, marked by a precocious and profound interest in the sounds of the Middle East, an affinity that would later intertwine with the evolution of his artistic journey. His journey behind the decks began in the late '80s, taking his first steps in private settings and honing his skills.

In the early '90s, his growing skill and dedication earned him a residency at one of the most prestigious clubs in his city, the Caesar Palace, where he delivered a musical selection focused on Tribal/Dance House, laying the foundation for his sonic identity.

The mid-'90s marked a crucial turning point with the discovery of Progressive House. Captivated by its melodic textures and depth, Indiano embarked on a new stylistic path, shaping distinctive live sets that blend melody and rhythmic innovation with ever-increasing originality. His unmistakable artistic signature opened doors to collaborations with major clubs, cultural movements, and radio stations, allowing him to share the stage with the leading figures of the Progressive scene at the time. 1996 saw his recording debut as a producer with the “CRYPTIN EP”, a fusion of Tribal and Progressive sounds, released on the Milanese label Trance Traxx.

In 2006, recognition for his talent and originality materialized with the victory of the national contest organized by “Notte Insonne” and “Trend Discotec”, which crowned him 'best new Italian talent'.

Currently, Indiano holds a prominent position in the international radio landscape, boasting collaborations with prestigious stations such as Befunk Radio (Fuerteventura, Spain), Stoned Storke Radio Project (Italy/Germany/Switzerland/Argentina/Mexico), Organic Deep House Radio (Dubai), WhiteRadio (Italy), and IbizaLiveRadio (Formentera, Spain).

His work as a producer and remixer is equally prolific, with releases and tracks on major international record labels including Café De Anatolia, Tibetania Records, Tibetania Orient, Kosa Music, I Am Boho, Ostowana Music, and CamelVip Records.

Indiano stands out as a tireless researcher and experimenter, whose deep curiosity leads him to explore and merge genres like Organic House, Downtempo, Oriental, Ethnic, and World Music in his live sets. His distinctive sound, deeply infused with the ethnic and Middle Eastern influences that have shaped his musical upbringing since childhood, creates an immersive and boundless listening experience – a true sonic journey capable of connecting cultures and souls through rhythm and melody.

kosha (Sanskrit कोश, IAST: kośa), usually rendered "sheath", the covering of the Atman, or Self. 

kośa is a soundsmith who brings you a flavour mixing - downtempo, acid house, minimal//deep-tech ranging from 80 to 120 bpm, electronic yet organic tunes, deep hypnotic meditative grooves and solid kicks infused with Indian, Arabic and other Ethnic influences which we beautifully term 'spiritual deeptech' a genre coined by kośa, rooted in the deepest part of India's underground scene.

ॐ//om -The great primordial sound, the original sound from which the universe was created, the sound of all sounds together. According to Hindu metaphysics everything is made of sounds (vibrations), since everything is sound, healing through it, is an ancient ritual, as sound is not only heard through our ears but vibrates within every cell of our bodies.

For us at kosa records this network gives space to connect ideas of various forms to do art for art's sake - not for social recognition. to break the rules of systematic exploitation of the artist's energy and to feel the soul in synchonicity.

We consumed too much music and it started to leak and this is when kośa evolved into a record label in January 2019 with the release of their first various artists compilation Mīmāṃsā, though the real beginnings were with our Podcast series the raga saga https://soundcloud.com/kosamusica/sets/the-raga-saga where in we showcase an hour of beautiful music from our favorite artists from around the world.

50% of all proceeds are donated to Pawbro India Foundation that aims at feeding stray dogs and other animals in Pune, India, feeding over 150 strays everyday. Part of the artists’ stream shares are directed towards these efforts.
