Molaq is concentrated long-form electronic music.  

Murat Çolak and Marek Poliks (@marek-poliks) created Molaq together in 2017.   

Murat is a New York-based composer and mastering engineer, and the founder of the music label Geryon. Marek makes hardware techno as Muxer, works on AI-driven synthesis with a research cluster in Hong Kong, and designs interactive systems for an audio scenography agency in LA.

Molaq - LIVE @ Experimental Sound Studio, Chicago - 03/07/21

For the very first time, we travel to the Austrian capital to welcome on board the one and only Xenia Nanou a.k.a. POLYXENE (@xenianogravity). A Greek artist based in Vienna who started out in the music universe as a sound engineer and soon became a thorough digger in her early years, was part of the platform @femdex, has her own monthly show on Movement Radio, and, all in all, has paved her way in the electronic scene evolving into one of the best electro DJ’s in this day and age. Her sets are a powerful blend of electro, IDM, and breaks skilfully combined which might escalate into acid or even techno making dancers go completely crazy. And this podcast is no exception. N2MU PDCST 062 - POLYXENE

Episode 19 is dedicated to Sci Fi Electro series, where each artist has created a 15 minute track per side (2 tracks in total), taking you from pure electro tracks to very experimental compositions, sounds and atmospheres. The series is a collection of seven releases inspired by the following films created in the 20th century: THX 1138, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner, The Thing, Akira, Terminator and Tron. 
You will listen interpretations inspired by movies: THX 1138 (by Transpac) and Blade Runner (by Scape One). This is our tribute as well to the talented Greek electronic music artist - Vangelis (RIP), who has written music for Blade Runner movie. Tracks have been released only in vinyl format (Electro Records). Enjoy and thanks for listening !

Bio & TL:

Maltese music artist Volph has graced the decks for the last 20 years. It all started as a duo under the A.I. alias, playing mostly old school electro and anything in between. 

After they both decided to part ways he started experimenting on his own music and spent most of his time in the studio creating new electro sounds which recently lead to his various releases

For this week's guest mix we listen to a live performance by a young up-and-comer DJ/Producer based from Tbilisi, Georgia called DJ Astrobee (@astrobee003)

He's been producing tracks since 2016. His interest in synthesizers began in his childhood, with an early inspiration being Van Halen and Rush. After some years he discovered Drexciya and the Electro journey had begun. He has releases on labels such as Intellitronic Bubble, FNS, Mind Controlled Rectifier and more.
