Gop Tun, the name of the project that congregates them around a common goal and shared vision, is more than just the multifarious brainchild of four music lovers truly, madly and deeply committed to make us dance by any means necessary using every tool at their disposal, it is also a collective effort in trying to foster the perfect conditions for that precious interaction between their peers and their public to happen, generating the priceless moments that make the stuff of indelible memories. As a visionary group of curators, their unified efforts nurtured a host of initiatives that range from events that shaped their hometown’s nightlife, a label that is relentless in promoting regional talent, as well as this very series now celebrating its 100th edition of collecting musical journeys helmed by people from all over the globe. As a gifted team of selectors, interconnected by the type of complicity built over decades of friendship, they operate at a molecular level in which every aspect that binds them is exactly what makes them move freely in order to create astounding musical experiences of which this mix is but a tiny yet powerful example, one that carries within it all the energy and inventiveness that goes into everything they do.
