Davit Japaridze is a prominent figure in the emerging electronic music scene of Georgia and belongs to the number of artists who are actively involved in the formation of the modern Georgian club culture.

Puritan was introduced to electronic music at an early age, but the artist believes that his musical journey took a significant turn when he discovered House of God and got to know artists such as Regis, Surgeon, Blawan, Oliver Ho, shortly after followed by Silent Servant, Phase Fatale, Ancient Methods, and other artists who have successfully managed to blend techno with other lesser-known genres.

Being active in many various ways since then, Puritan’s affinity towards industrial electronics came in tandem with founding his imprint - Murder tbs. His vision and ideas led him to work with some of the most respected names in the industry and gave foundation to many groundbreaking compilations with acquiring a huge­ly influ­en­tial pres­ence in the world of mod­ern elec­tron­ic music.

Over the years, Puritan has expanded his vision into multiple directions. The most recent one includes the ’Body Pressure’ project, focusing mainly on softer, more intimate sets drawing inspiration from classic techno, electro, ebm, and Italo-body music. This moniker is dedicated to more explorative genres and influences with the aim of blending past, present, and future with the artist's modern touch.
