Love and Rockets are an alternative rock band formed in 1985 by former Bauhaus members Daniel Ash (guitars, saxophone, and vocals), David J (bass and vocals) and Kevin Haskins (drums and synthesizers). Former Bauhaus vocalist Peter Murphy had embarked on a solo career after Bauhaus split in 1983. Ash and Haskins had recorded and performed in another band, Tones on Tail, between 1982 and 1984.

Firstly, tremendous **thanks** to those who poked and prodded a bit to see how things were going with my works in progress, or with learning ProTools!  
Was so wonderfully encouraging, really!  :D  You know, ProTools is complicated!  Whew!  

I found that I was applying tremendous pressure on myself by trying to jump right in to working on songs I cared so much about, my own creations...(even had a nightmare that I uploaded a track of myself banging on pots and pans and wailing like a banshee)....  So, in order to cut myself some slack, I have created a cover song!  Just for fun, just to try to get more comfortable recording in ProTools.  I have quite a soft spot for The Cure, and I particularly love this song, "Sinking."  The instrumentation embraces the vocals just so, and the palpable apathy is offset by lush layers and dreamy melodies...I speak now about the original, of course, but I tried to recapture this in my own work, as best I could.

Thanks so much for all the tips and comments, and to Andy for making this not sound like crap!  (one hurdle at a time, right?) :)
