Noah Hoffeld's songs deliver the message that now’s the best time for us to breathe and tune into what we truly are.  Baeble Music says his self-produced debut Play Human "brings the best of classical music and modern rock to bear to gorgeous effect." And Music Existence says "Play Human is a masterfully executed work of art." Hoffeld came from a classical background, but classical was never everything to him. 

Before graduating Juilliard, he began bringing rock and pop to the cello. An urge to spread a message of care for people and the planet propelled him to write songs. Now a new album, Mobile Home, coproduced with Mark Plati (Bowie, The Cure, Prince, etc.) is coming this year. 

In December, Bodhiheart: Love Rules, Meditations for Cello and Piano with pianist-collaborator Wells Hanley, renowned Mark Egan (Pat Metheny, Sting) on fretless bass and Arjun Bruggeman on tablas, was released. Reviews New Age wrote, “Bodhiheart improvises one of the best albums of year’s end.” Love Rules was a feature on Echoes Radio, syndicated across 120 stations nationwide, and debuted at #14 on the NACC Chill Chart. 

Noah played on the 2020 Grammy-winning Finding Gabriel by Brad Mehldau, and brought the other string players together for the recording. He plays cello solos for the likes of Renee Fleming and Natalie Merchant, and for films like the Skeleton Twins, with Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig. Noah also records and arranges remotely for songwriters and composers around the world. And he’s a regular band-member for Krishna Das, “rock star of the yoga world.” 

A longtime devotee of yoga and meditation, Hoffeld believes in the power of contemplation and takes to heart Gandhi's saying, 'Be the change you wish to see in the World.” Play Human declares, 'Why don't we all play human for a change? Loving each other shouldn't be out of range."  

Endorsed by Moog Synthesizers and NS electric cellos, Noah’s a Ricci Artist, touring with the world's finest carbon fiber cello. As well as enjoying the benefits of yoga and the outdoors, he’s a surfing novitiate at Brooklyn's Rockaway Beach.
