 The Hamburg native has spent over two decades on unearthing obscure must-have records, sparking off new trends, and breathing new life into the DJ artform at every opportunity, while appearing at legendary events such as Love Parade and the original Tresor club and being frequently invited to top notch electronic music institutions such as Panoramabar or Rex Club,
Technique can be refined, and skill can be learned, but impeccable taste is rare and elusive so a recording from a DJs DJ such as Marc is a real treat! Smooth blend of house and deep house gems and a and a deep and moody tech sound is a perfect combination for this Autumn day! :)

As the longtime gatekeeper for music distributor Word and Sound, Marc Schneider  has overseen virtually every worthwhile piece of vinyl to enter Germany. He continues to apply his tastemaker status and veteran knowledge in the DJ booth through regular invitations to Panorama Bar (Berlin), Fabric (London), Eleven (Tokyo), Rex Club (Paris), The Bunker (NYC), Bassiani (Tbilisi), Smart Bar (Chicago), Culture Box (Copenhagen), Watergate (Berlin), Electric Pickle (Miami). That’s not to mention his long-running affiliation with Hamburg’s PAL and the storied Golden Pudel club, as well as the infamous annual event Fusion Festival.
With his sporadic yet highly-valued releases and remixes for labels like Circus Company, Silver Network, New Kanada and Word and Sound’s in-house imprint Was Not Was, Marc has endeared himself to record-buying heads over a number of years. Similarly, it was little surprise for those in the know to learn that Marc had been secretly at the helm of the formerly anonymous cult label Story, the unassuming vinyl-only imprint of quality deep cuts that has boasted the likes of Anton Zap, Cottam and XDB on its roster since 2008.

Recorded Live @ The Backroom, a small, intimate venue hidden behind one of Osaka's most respected Record Stores, Compufunk Records...   

The sound was wicked, you could feel and hear every detail in a track...  
I played for 6 odd hours to a room full of dedicated Techno Otaku's, who allowed me to DJ a very free, and indulgent set...  

I love playing in Japan, as their crowds allow you to explore your musical whims, to a depth that very few clubs in Europe truly experience...  

There are several Trax you will know, plenty you won't, as I played numerous 'Mong Trax' edits, and a few exclusive, unreleased 'Dubs' that I was Testing out for future releases...

This was a live recording from this set, a portion of the 3.5 hours I did or so. it was raining so while we were supposed to be an outdoor party, everything got moved inside - so what you're hearing is quite club focused.

As a vinyl junkie, I've been an ambassador for electronic music during a hedonistic 30 year career as a DJ at seminal clubs and events worldwide...

I've promoted, sold, recorded, lectured, played, collected, reviewed and breathed music since the age of 13, recorded numerous mix CD's both here in Europe and Asia including the first CD for Eukahouse's "Tech House Phenomena" series, 
and worked pushing huge amounts of Vinyl at numerous record stores over the years - Groove, Zoom, Koobla, Silverfish (pre-Eukatech Records), Instant Quality aka I.Q. Records and Covert Records (Brighton)...

After taking a long needed sabbatical (2001-2009) from the DJ circuit, where I ended my long standing resident slots at Edinburgh's Subtle Logic, and The End's flagship party Subterrain - where myself and Mr.C's now infamous 4hr sessions 
were witnessed every month until late 1999 - I've been busy twiddling knobs, trying to write a book, studying, got married, bought & sold a few houses, had two beautiful lil’ boys and made myself a family man!

For the last few years, I've been laying low working on various projects - building a new studio, writing some very deeeep shit, flying around the globe doing my thing, and now I'm in the process of setting up a very exciting new label...

I've been letting my record box get the better of me of late and started playing out with Vinyl again (there's soooo much good music out there!)...
I have come to regard myself as a serious music collector, who has acquired an immense record collection through the years, both as a club and radio DJ, and I've been lucky enough to travel all over the globe meeting some amazing friends and like minded people who share my knowledge, passion, respect and love for good music!
