Here's the upload of the February edition of the Atmospheric Existence show on 1BTN.FM, broadcast on Tue 20th Feb. This months special guest who joined me was sonic purveyor Alison Marks.

DJ, producer and vocalist Alison Marks has been enjoying losing herself in music for longer than it’s probably polite to say. She has played at some great parties over the years. To name but a few, Plastic People, Ministry Of Sound, The Cross, 50 Arc, Nightmoves, Freerotation, Turnmills, Propaganda (Moscow), Twilo (New York), Amnesia (Ibiza), Pacha (Ibiza), Moog (Barcelona), Le Club (Valencia), Paradise Garage (Portugal), Radost FX (Prague), Tropical House (L.A) and many more lesser known but just as gratifying places from Mexico to Siberia. 

Festival wise she has played at Extrema (Holland), I Love Techno (Belgium), Mysteryland (Holland), Koneisto Festival (Finland), Exit Festival, while holding down residencies in Bogota - Columbia, Amsterdam and Moscow.

She has released music as ‘Alison Marks’, ‘Lumina’ with Helen Copnall (50 Arc / Atmospheric Existence Recordings) and ’Wallflower’ with Leah Floyeurs. More recent projects include ‘Descendance’ with Jimmy Clanfield and ‘Akulina’. 

Exhibiting releases on labels such as Dessous, Dogmatik, Rebirth, Defected and Verdant, Alison continues to deliver her own take on electronic music, with a depth of musical wisdom based on a wealth of experience garnered over many years of dedication.
Her music has been remixed by the likes of Larry Heard, Aubrey, Deetron, Anya Schneider, Dubbyman, Gerd Janson, Rampa, Nandu,  Asadino and Jenifa Mayanja.

We welcome Matt Lush aka @lushy303 to the very first installment of the Delphic Iris Mix Series recorded live from our launch last year at @kimchirecordz in Berlin, a killer deep and groove heavy all vinyl set recorded on their lovely Bozak mixer for extra crispy sound.

This series is a handpicked selection of artists and friends of the label whom we enjoy their vibe, energy, and thoughtful musical curation.

We aim to highlight both our own releasing artists as well as selectors in our general community, whether they are based in Berlin, Sydney, or beyond.

As eclectic and chaotic as the Delphic Iris's visions themselves, our mix series will be somewhat sporadic in schedule and touch on both functional club music and its weirder hybrid edges. 

The series aims to channel otherworldly energy, intricate rhythms, and textures that we hope will take you on wild and unique journeys

Born in Melbourne and currently based in Berlin, Matt has been playing records and hosting events for over 20 years.

Originally a more straight up techno deejay, inspired by the likes of Mills and Garnier; these days Matt likes to traverse the dark line between techno, house, electro and acid music.

His artistry behind the decks is a perfect blend of infectious energy, deep musical knowledge and seamless mixing, expertly reading the room who is equally at home in an intimate club space to an expansive warehouse party.

Introducing the artist Wavescape (Paul Weston)

Wavescape 

Wavescape's debut e.p release was on Steve Paton's, of planet e, 4th wave label, with label mates Ian O'Brien and Downlink. Wavescape had two further releases on the label all featuring a strong Detroit techno influence. Further releases followed with a release on the legendary Solid groove records and a release on Mark Ambrose’s Crayon records. The album Grand Tedium followed released through Shady Acorns / Pinnacle EMI, distributed globally on cd and vinyl. Various Wavescape tracks have featured on Techno compilations such Elements of Jazz 2 and notably a track on Fabric 01 Craig Richards mix C.D.

Wavescape’s original production setup was Liam Carter & Paul Weston, both worked on productions together and individually bringing different influences and approaches to the mix, with strong influences from early synthesizer music pioneers and film soundtracks. They also released Four e.p's as Virtual Earth, distributed through Shady Acorns, which were more club orientated with heavy rotation by the likes of Colin Dale & Darren Emerson.

After a long period away from producing Paul Weston under the Wavescape alias is now producing new material with a new album being released early 2018 including a Russ Gabriel (Ferox) remix out on Vinyl CD & Digital through Murge Recordings. Other digital releases have been through Xenology Records on an e.p along side Rennie Foster,  Derrick Thompson,  John Morrison and Jace Syntax. Another release was through, Animal Instincts Recordings with a remix of a Wavescape track by Colin Dale.
