Balcony

Pictures is an epic poem in three parts. A song about nostalgia, sweet memories that come alive going over old photos from your carefree younger years. Just like in real life - the song takes an unexpected twist, turns into something that you could dance to and climbs towards a melancholic climax.

Murkinbone is a 4-piece band from Amsterdam. Their inviting popsongs will not leave your head after hearing them a few times. But once you have started to silently hum along, the songs often change direction towards a full blown sonic eruption.  
Musical influences come from the late 70's and 80’s with acts like Televison Personalities, The Clash and A-ha, sprinkled with some Johnny Cash and a dash of Britpop. 
While Murkinbone sings songs about life with a smile and a tear, their live-shows are a breath of positive energy. 

In 2018 Murkinbone started as a drum-machine and 3 guys that share a history at Cirque du Soleil. The addition of live drums in 2019 added a new level of energy, both in the songs as well as in their live shows.
