On the back of the highly-favourable reviews of their debut “Follow Me” EP, the band signed to Holier Than Thou Records in 2016. Releasing a number of singles including the well received EP ‘Henrietta’. Their music has received national and international airplay and positive reviews.

Dark Sky Park have a passion for dark hard rock with melodic riffs and an unexpected twist of blues. The band describe themselves as a rock band allowing them to experiment with all the wonderful sub-genres rock has to offer. Co-founder writer/producer Ainsley Stones has  commented “We’re pretty much going for ABBA’s hooks and Sabbath’s riffs, we work with melodies, creating hooks inspired by the rock masters including, Sabbath, ACDC, Led Zeppelin. Queens of the Stone Age and Royal Blood. We also love to mix a dark undercurrent to balance our melodies for dynamic listening experience”

Punchy attitude hits you hard. The pop of crunchy bass chords brings defiance needed to get over a lover whilst the grungy echoes pacify this harsh piece providing comfort not only to the rhythm but to Henrietta. Yet, a distorted guitar solo just adds to the creepy and self-remorseful sound. Light and shade are executed well through the band’s conviction to create an empowering track that contemplates the emotions behind the end of a relationship ……. The power Henrietta is solid and sultry. Contrary to much modern rock, you will find some hefty guitar solos with a guitar line leads backing a short yet provoking message.
