Howdy! I'm from a small town in Louisiana called Lafayette. I began spinning a little over a decade ago in my living room and my teacher was the book "Djs for Dummies".  It's been an interesting journey. 

Growing up, I always carried the big ass stack of CDs to parties and would always become the "dj". I took many years (and cities) before the idea of trying to actually become a DJ hit me.
 I have always love to dance and spent my teens/ 20's doing just that. You go to a club and see that one drunk bitch dancing by themselves at 9pm in the corner... that was me. I worked in many different bars and was exposed to many different Djs and their styles. The first mixed set I ever heard was Bad Boy Bill, GHC 4....I had no idea I was listening to a god. Seems so funny now! My break into dance culture was with break beats. It was pretty much the only kind of dance music that was played in Laffy, LA. As I grew and traveled, I learned what circuit music (tribal house with a lot of diva/top 40 vocals) was and that gay men really enjoyed it. I did too, for many years. It wasn't until 2010 that I really started to get into EDM. It could be trancey bath-house tracks, big room, or mainstream; I was all about it. I played that for many years and was really into that scene.
 I moved to Austin in 2014 and started to learn their sounds, which included a lot of Barry Harris and tracks that I think of as "bouncy club" music. I learned that while also diving deeper into mash-ups which incorporated EDM and every other genre of music, including hip-hop, rock, classical, and beyond. I thank Dj's from Mars for all of those incredible tracks. 
It wasn't until the pandemic of 2020 that I was exposed to deep house/tech-house/techno/ect in a way that got me hooked and inspired me to start playing with it. I had always considered it boring..I just needed to hear it spun correctly. 
These days I can go all over the map depending on my mood and/or crowd. I don't like being stuck in a box where I only play one genre of electronic music when there are SO many to navigate! 
 Thats a little history of my musical journey. It's ever evolving and growing.
Most of my sets get pretty aggressive, just FYI. I seem to be unable to make an actual chill mix... Ill get it one of these days.
