On sunny wet mornings, in creepy caves, down the shops, in the kitchen. Wherever you are, you can listen to this and lose yourself to your mind's cartoon of many prawns dancing and socialising at the annual sea party, where the sea creatures mark the anniversary of the year they managed to get really good sound underwater. Here's what they listened to... and here is the bio of the guys behind Spacecast #11:


Mushrooms Project are Giorgio Giri and Marco Lentano who joined up through a love of DJing and a passion for all forms of music. Before they met in 2003 they were already vinyl junkies & amateurs Djs inspired by the Idjut Boys and the Matteo & Mattos, but DJing as a profession wasn’t fully realized just yet. After making their debut in their home country of Italy they have gone on to play at various parties around Formentera, Ibiza and UK. In the middle of the Mediterranean their Balearic approach to music fitted in perfectly with their surroundings. In 2008 they started producing music for labels including Bear Funk, Electric Minds, Under The Shade and Is it Balearic? along with many others.

Today Mushrooms Project are the kings of the Slo Tempo and they do deep druggy chunky mid tempo, sometimes more balearic, sometimes just more freaky.
Their name says it all: their music is hallucinating but all encompassing and are made of analog instruments such as guitar, bass, synth and percussive sounds to create a “dirty” but unique background in the very long, deep, mesmerizing and unusual minds of the Mushrooms.

Giorgio Giri & Marco Lentano aka Mushrooms Project are most known for their slow, druggy, chunky mid tempo productions but they've been vinyl junkies even before they met in 2003 so they enjoy and play all kinds of different stuff like they do in this mix for our show at Rinoceronte fm Radio.

They've released music on great labels such as Bear funk, Under the Shade, Leng just to name a few and we also had the pleasure to release a stunning ep last year called 'Sake', which will have a remixes ep, coming up in the next months, including a new original track and remixes by Duncan Gray, Avanti, Mijo, Vox Low, Phoresky, Teniente Castillo and Dynamicron.

They are already working on a new album, a collaboration with Paul Murphy to be released on Claremont 56.
