This record is a pure Italian duo craftsmanship affair and brought to you by Mushrooms Project & Almunia. Almunia is the Italian Psychedelic Rock/Disco/balearic project of Gianluca Salvadori & Leonardo Ceccanti. They made some beautiful releases on Claremont 56, Above Machine or Is It Balearic?. Mushrooms Project is the duo composed by Marco Lentano & Giorgio Giri, known for numerous eps on Leng, Under The Shade, Horn Wax, Hell Yeah or Is It Balearic? and its sublabel Uber.
Expect dark balearic summer vibes all over this one. 
Fellow countrymen Daniele Baldelli & Dionigi gave "Arena Raindrops" ,here premiered, a cosmic makeover. Artwork coverage comes from the north of The Netherlands where Klaas Jonkman, also known as De Fantoom, was inspired by the Rupicola Peruvianus creature to paint the cover of this record !

In the distance China was calling. The echo travelled through the early morning sky across the sea: far and wide the cry would be heard from the North, South, East and West. The waves rumbled across the globe as the satelitte watched from up above. It looked down upon the distant earth, removed from civil life and the interactions of day to day life. Yet it controlled them all, from Shanghai to London, Berlin to New York the radio waves would call amidst the morning light. 

Bokeh Versions returns with a new release from Rer Repeter who reveals a delicious assortment of dub and low end electronics.

French-born Berlin-based duo @nummer dish out a proper feel-good tropical melter blazing with suave afro-funk hooks and dubbed-out guitar riffs amidst other rousing vibraphone melodies, enticing cowbells and cosmic arpeggios on rewind. Like setting up an improvised party in some idyllic, sun-bathed rainforest clearing, pleasantly hedged in by the fluid force of magic cascades, chlorophyllian green and the euphonic charm of multicoloured bird songs. Warm and sensuous tribal house groover in full effect.

Nummer's Tribute [Fragil Musique]

Known more for their dubby 'kosmische' and psychedelic post-disko, Glasgow label Invisible Inc seem to be wandering closer to the realms of the nightclub dancefloor these days. Not that anyone's complaining. With recent outings by Strange Culture and Sordid Sound System taking the lead, this one by Budapest's Bal5000 is quite possibly their most dancefloor friendly release yet.

Brainwaltzera debuts on FILM. The anonymous producer, whose work has has already received online approval from legendary british IDM auteur aphex twin, offers up an extended EP for the berlin based imprint. In 2015 a soundcloud profile under the name user18081971 - now identified as belonging to richard d. james, commented on curious Brainwaltzera upload quilat spring 1 [outtake]. The move prompted speculation as to who exactly is behind the music. Exquisitely produced and executed in such fine fashion so as to decry pure imitation - there’s plenty to theorise here. Regardless of their true creator - which will undoubtedly remain a secret for the time being, the compositions on FILM006 are of similarly high calibre. Varied in approach and marrying both electronic & acoustic elements with ease, the six tracks that comprise the record range from yearning ambient segues and dreamy down tempo grooves to otherworldly krautrock and more direct, dance floor fare - but remain bound tight as a cohesive and functional body of work by a glorious, arcane musicality. whether weaving soft electronic tones in and amongst snappy breaks or detuned drum-machine strikes, the artist’s ear for acoustic harmony is perhaps the pervading theme across the six tracks that make up the aecoba EP, marking it out as an excellent addition to the FILM label’s growing catalogue. Mushrooms Project boys Giorgio Giri and Marco Lentano are back with another strong 12", this time mixing fellow Italian disco outfit Soupaczar (so far as I can tell - Under The Shade never give us the barest sniff of sales info...). Their mix of "So Mr Leary" turns the Italo-prog of the original into an Italo-cosmic-prog driver. It's the A-side rework by Mixed Blood Cuts / Padded Cell man Richard Sen that really caught my ears here though. He dispenses with the rock vocals and heads straight to the dancefloor with an epic cosmic disco driver that really gets in a tight, funky groove - perfect 2am play. Ray Mang is also on hand to add one of his organic, percussive disco refixes, turing the vocals into a disco-not-disco holiday pop sing-along.
