Founded in 1999 on the basic principle that children deserve to have their voice heard, Music Ascension empowers young creative minds, inspiring the musicians of tomorrow with the technology of today. Our mission is to foster creative, caring communities that instill enduring personal and professional growth in young people through musical engagement. Utilizing contemporary music technology and our staff of professional teaching artists, Music Ascension offers a unique approach to instruction with courses in songwriting, audio engineering, music production, instrumental music, chorus and general music that can be customized to meet your institution’s needs. 

Since our founding, Music Ascension has produced over 60 full length CDs and has inspired countless students. Our alumni have gone on to continue their musical studies at 2 and 4 year colleges and have returned to lead programs of their own. Our custom programs have been implemented in NYC Public schools, private schools, charter schools, NJ Schools of Special Education, non profit organizations, and traditional and Special Education residential summer camps. Music Ascension has been featured on WFUV’s Cityscapes, WBAI’s Wake Up Call, and in the American Camping Association’s November/December 2008 issue of Camping Magazine.
