This fourth volume marks a departure from those previous in that tracks are not repeated for barre exercises, in order to provide some exercises with alternative tempi or time signatures. "The Flower Duet" (French: Duo des fleurs / Sous le dôme épais) is a famous duet for sopranos from Léo Delibes' opera Lakmé, first performed in Paris in 1883. 

The duet takes place in act 1 of the three-act opera, between characters Lakmé, the daughter of a Brahmin priest, and her servant Mallika, as they go to gather flowers by a river.

Charles Mathews is an experienced ballet and contemporary accompanist, who has worked with teachers and dancers from Birmingham Royal Ballet, Elmhurst School for Dance, The Royal Academy of Dance, The Royal Ballet School, The British Ballet Organisation and DNA3D Dance Company amongst others. As well as playing for classical ballet, Charles also plays and improvises for contemporary dance classes and composes original music and arrangements for ballet and contemporary dancers. He has also written and recorded music for film trailers, computer games, mobile apps, the opening ceremonies of the European Gymnastics Championships and 2011 World Gymnaestrada in Lausanne, Switzerland.
