One of my favorite sets in a while! This party marked the end of a conference exploring artificial intelligence held at Zuzalu, an experimental pop-up city in Montenegro. 

Lots of fun and weird alignment happened for the event and the party 🌞 Not least of all, Grimes came as a speaker for the conference and decided that she’d love to perform at the party as well. She played a heavy set right after me, and the party was already high-energy when I started, so I ended up playing pretty upbeat. 

I played a mix of oldies and new faves. Hope you enjoy!

The performance also featured the ’Voxel Cube’, an art installation using a brain-computer interface to edit the visuals projected onto a mesh cube the DJ stands inside.

▌I How do you make use of technology?
To produce music, we like to have a mix of old and new school. The combination of VST's and some analogue synths is what defines our sound.

▌II Which tracks marks a highlight in your set?
Around the middle of the set is a track that we made together with Biljana Pais. We are proud of this one as it blends various genre and has a deep melancholic touch. 
Perfect soundtrack for the berlin winter depression.

▌III Could you take us through a day in your life, from a possible morning routine through to your work?
To be honest, not really a daily routine in our lifes. We are both working on the side and one of us has a child, so everyday is a new day :)

You Plus One’s first EP of 2019 is an epic four track smoker! Adding to our growing multinational music catalog we now feature Turkey’s newest deadly duo Men With A Plan. Lotus Eater EP is a combined effort of solo artists Can Çakmakç and ORDA, who have already previously gained support from techno gods such as Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, and Joris Voorn, as well as progressive legends Nick Warren, Sasha, and John Digweed. This EP embodies their own very unique, dense style they describe as “slow burn” and we call “fire”.

“Lateral” is a slow and steady build of dark angelic tension piercing through smoky clouds; the perfect introduction track. The ORDA edit brings emotion and melody to the track through synthesized witchcraft with an explosive and uplifting climax sure to be a crowd favourite.

A true slow burn with infinite horns upon horns, heavy drums, and held pads make “Prone” a great choice for that eyes-closed, head-down, sweat-dripping-off-the-walls dance floor moment. 

“Supine” is You Plus One label boss Siavash’s favourite cut of this EP to play in the after hours. A track with beastly attitude that builds with growls, arps, and gunsmoke sitting on a bed of heavy low end rumble.

In the run up to the launch of his new album "Diving For Lost Treasure" on Get Physical's sister label @metaphysicallabel in January 2021, @sailorandi teases us with another new single from it. "Clues" is out on November 20th and is a fantastic window into the lush soundworld of the full album.

Swedish singer, producer and instrumentalist Sailor & I, is renowned for his outstanding live act having performed worldwide at key clubs and festivals. This multi-faceted artist has worked and performed alongside some of the industry’s finest names including Paul Woolford, DJ Tennis and M83 and has released an album and singles on Skint, Life and Death and Black Butter. His debut album The Invention of Loneliness was a landmark release in 2017 and since then he has continued to evolve his indie-electronica songwriting skills as well as diver ever further into the world of leftfield sounds.

This new single "Clues" is a heart-swelling indie dance single with lush melodics. Glowing vocals muses on the heartache of relationships and soar up top. Richly layered pads and melancholic piano chords bring real emotion while loose drums roll on down low and the whole thing is subtle yet catchy.
This is another fine offering from the ever excellent Sailor & I.
