Tous les mois, Musical Echoes vous propose deux sélections 100% vinyles : l’une roots/digital et l’autre reggae/dub/stepper, plus actuelle. Ce mois-ci, c’est le sélecteur Kabba Stamina qui s'y colle! Avec brio et un paquet de titres bien roots, voire antérieurs aux années 1970. Le tout suinte les mythiques studios de Kingston JA par toutes les notes, même les plus obscures...
Kabba aime la musique roots de toute les époques même s'il a une préférence pour les années 70' en Jamaïque, comme en témoigne sa sélection. Ce mois-ci, c’est le sound-system aixois Natural Bashy qui se charge de la sélection! Créé en 2010, Natural Bashy est un sound roots/reggae/dub qui organise de nombreuses soirées à Aix-en-Provence et se bat avec d'autres crews pour faire exister la culture sound system associative dans cette région. Leur sélection regorge de classiques oldies immortels avec même trois morceaux du Serge Gainsbourg de sa meilleure période : celle de l'album Aux Armes et Cætera enregistré à Kingston en 1979... Ce mois-ci, c'est Stepart qui se charge de la seconde sélection!  Producteur affilié à Stand High Records, ce dernier navigue entre diverses influences, passant du roots, au reggae digital ou encore au dubstep... Actif depuis les années 2000, il collabore en studio avec de nombreux artistes, Murray Man, Pupa Jim, Shanti D, Soom T, ou encore Marina P avec qui il se produit régulièrement en live. En bon collectionneur, l'artiste nous propose une sélection pointue, incluant quelques uns de ses disques favoris.
