Despite only considering three instruments, there is so much music in this piece and it is good music. In addition, you get a great deal out of NotePerforner.

I love this!  despite the troubling moods, it's easy to listen too.

Three instruments say a lot about the human condition in this austere but intense work.

A brooding, contemplative work. I like your use of form.

I have the honour of sharing with you a piece by my friend Philippe Blanc, indeed, he wrote this piece when he was 16 years old....it's part of his album "16 Ans" which was written by him between the age of 12 and 16 years!
I hope you will have as much pleasure in listening to it, as I have had to play it.....

I originally conceived of this work in 1991 and rewrote it in 2024 as heard here in this audio rendering using Note Performer softwre.

In this trio for violin, viola and cello, the music represents Jacob's internal struggle and confronting his dark side to become personally transformed; Jacob becomes Israel.

I am a composer that is classically trained with broad interest and experience in world musics. MM New England Conservatory '86, BM University of Massachusetts at Amherst '76.

My compositions have won awards from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, New England Reed Trio International Chamber Music Composition Competition, a Bryant Fellowship from Harvard University, and a certificate from the 21st Century Music Project Competition of the the International Center for Japanese Culture in Yokohama, Japan. My works have been performed across the United States, Europe and Japan.
