To mark "Worldwide Music Day" on June 21st 2015, MwB Community Music Leaders from Rwanda have written and recorded the song "Ubumuntu". Ubumuntu means a compassionate, kind, empathetic way of living.
Since 2010 Musicians without Borders has worked in Rwanda, training young people as Community Music Leaders. Through music and nonviolent leadership, the Rwanda Youth Music program has given support to over 2000 vulnerable young people.

A piece inspired by a story of walking through the darkest seasons of life, moments we must ultimately face alone. It speaks of turning the mind toward a new way of seeing, reprogramming the heart and spirit to welcome brighter thoughts and gentler vibrations. The Fairy-Tale World appears as a guiding metaphor, a place where we can meet and heal our inner child. For in times of struggle, each of us longs for a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel, or a signpost in the forest, softly illuminated by the touch of a kind fairy.
