About the artist
Crowd Controlol (pronounced Crowd Control) is the main recording and performance identity for Anthony Salce, a South Florida-based electronic music producer with a mission to bring something undeniably fresh to dance music. Merging two decades of classical training on the violin with the tools of modern technology, his take on music stems deeply from its effects on the human mind and body. This interpretation ranges from warm connotations of dancefloor driven house music, to sonic experiments in deeper, melodic and minimal grooves.

Crowd Controlol’s first ever vinyl release “Science Ficiton” on Still Play Records reached #1 worldwide on Deejay.de in Decemeber 2018, the most popular online vinyl store for underground music. The multi-genre EP featured Minimal, Deep House, Tech House, and Techno sounds. Simultaneously, his digital productions and remixes have been coninuously well received, with regular releases on global record labels like Innocent Music, Baile Musik, Draft, Patent Skillz, SK Supreme Records, Ritmik Records, Beatdown Music, and Low Groove Records.

Crowd Controlol left his first mark on the city of Miami during his debut residency in 2012 at a bimonthly party known as “One Night in Miami” with afterhours sunrise sets held early Saturday mornings on The Terrace at Club Space. Known for bouncy, yet dark and provocative DJ sets, he inspired a new generation of underground music advocates to appreciate the more intricate and sophisticated elements of electronic music. His sets created a different appreciation for four-on-the-floor rhythm amongst his friends, naturally encouraging his peers to steer away from what they hear on the radio, and appreciate the innovative qualities of house and techno music.

Beginning his travels to Ibiza, Spain in the summer of 2013 and joining forces with Richie Hawtin and the ENTER. team in Public Relations, Anthony continued to develop his sound as Crowd Controlol while maintaining a forward thinking approach to artistry. Working a total of 3 seasons with ENTER on the island, his working relationship with Hawtin evolved beyond Ibiza and resulted in an invitation to be part of the CNTRL 2.0 tour in 2015, an educational initiative which sprung throughout college campuses in North America with artists like Chris Liebing, Dubfire, Matador, Victor Calderone, and more. Upon forging valuable relationships and discovering a world of new music, this experience has become an integral part of his development as an artist.

More recently, Crowd Controlol has showcased his sound in Ljubljana, London, Ibiza, Playa del Carmen, Madrid, Ibiza, and New York City with regular appearances in Miami and around Florida. He’s shared some of the largest stages in dance music over his 10 year career with many of the most important artists in electronic music like Nicole Moudaber, Umek, Matthias Tanzmann, Chus & Ceballos, Riva Starr, Nathan Barato, and Carl Cox, performing at the world renowned Space Ibiza in its final season. More committed than ever to a focused development of his sound with ambitious production sessions and intriguing live performances, he’s truly dedicated to an upbeat and hypnotizing dancefloor experience, as his music emerges on imprints around the world.

Nikko.Z's Dopamine White opens the fall season by welcoming Bob the Groove to the label for his debut single. David Prie aka Bob the Groove first emerged in 2015 with a release via 238W, before going on to land projects with Massive Harmony Records, PHW Elements and Stellar Fountain. A defining moment in David's career came last year with the release of 'Was It' via Solomun's Diynamic imprint, a track which still sits atop his Beatport best sellers. Now following projects for 3rd Avenue, Another Life Music and Skanda Records, Bob the Groove adds Dopamine White to his resume with 'Rays of Life', alongside a remix from Aurel den Bossa and Ias Ferndale.

Continuing to explore emotive narratives within progressive house frameworks, Bob the Groove delivers one of his finest productions to date in 'Rays of Life'. Timeless grooves, poignant piano stabs and heartfelt melodies are the order of the day here, making for a spectacular setup leading into the break. Looking to bring more emotion during the interlude, Bob the Groove expands on the piano motif through tasteful clusters, while a glowing backdrop rises, hitting all the right emotional centers in order to spearhead a nostalgic sounding finale.

The release concludes with Aurel den Bossa and Ias Ferndale returning to the label with the lone interpretation of 'Rays of Life'. Hailing from France and Germany respectively, Auren and Ias have been frequent studio partners of late, with a string of quality offerings coming courtesy of Massive Harmony Records, Neonius Records and Superordinate Music. The duo's melodic sound has delighted both progressive and melodic house and techno fans, while the genre's tastemakers have championed their music along the way. Having made their Dopamine White debut in June of this year with a well received take on Jorge Viana's 'Olivia', the duo returns with an equally impressive rendition of 'Rays of Life'. Hugely creative, it's a mix that takes square aim at the dance floor with rolling beats, progressive minded grooves and a wealth of inviting atmospherics. Smooth chord changes and a soulful vocal motif provide the bulk of the emotional response, while the second of two breaks seals its heartrending appeal with a warm cinematic glow ushering in a goosebump worthy finale. A powerful remix from Aural and las which caps off another excellent release for Dopamine White, one where Bob the Groove gives us one of his finest tracks to date. Don't miss it.
