Dany Rodriguez's 'Brain Picture' originally appeared on his 'Spirit 82' vinyl 12" released on LINK Audio in February and recently featured in XLR8R's Music Submissions Roundup for that month. Now it receives the remix treatment from two of the label's artists, Alexander Kowalski and CYRK.

Alexander Kowalski delivers two interpretations, his cerebral and spacey Synapse Mix which works beautifully as an EP intro and the precursor to his main Remix that pushes Dany's original into melodic Techno realms. Meanwhile, CYRK stay true to the original's Electro elements but deliver a tough punch and retro touch to the vocal components. Also included on the 'Brain Picture Remixes EP' is the original version.

To coincide with the release is the LINK Outdoor Festival on Saturday 7 May in the old military base of Fort de Chaudfontaine in Liège (Belgium), with an all-star LINK Audio line up of Alexander Kowalski, CYRK, Pierre, Dany Rodriguez, Tindra, DJ Xentrix, Alex Sender and Freeman, alongside special guest, Anthony Rother.

Reset Robot drops a new album on his label Whistleblower with an impressive 13 track release that showcases his versatility as a producer.

Covering a broad cross-section of genres, the release explores all corners of the dance floor while also incorporating some afterhours chill-out elements.

Based in the UK city of Portsmouth, Reset Robot has previously released on labels including ranging from techno imprints such as Adam Beyer's Drumcode and Scuba's Hotflush to house focused labels such as Sasha's Last Night On Earth and the iconic Mobilee Records.

Although he is well-known for his club tracks, this album is a chance for David Robertson aka Reset Robot to explore the more obscure side of his music taste, and the output in a synthesizer laden body of work that’s on a par with the seminal works of others such as Bicep and Burial.

Exploring brokenbeat rhythms, ambient textures and intricate melodies, this album is a thought-provoking selection that flows with a captivating suspense.

Subdued and introverted, it’s got a lo-fi and dreamy aesthetic that occasionally lets fly into a dance floor orientated groove. “Chords N Thing”, “Single Coil” and “Waves” are both examples of this, but tracks like “How Deep”, “Crows” and “Unknown Unknowns” are at opposite ends of the same spectrum with their ambient moods.

The projects are often shrouded in secrecy, but in addition to his own music, Reset Robot also works behind the scenes with some of electronic music’s biggest names, and this album is testament to why so many trust his production skills.

Released in January 2022, ‘Always’ was first heard during Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 450 set in London. It marked the debut collaboration between established producers Ben Nicky and Greg Downey, and vocalist Christian Burns. 

A global ambassador for the fastest, toughest styles of modern dance music, Ben Nicky's touring schedule is as relentless as his sets, which slide seamlessly from vocal euphoria to industrial hardstyle and psychedelic trance. Releasing music since 2009, you can find Ben on labels like Ultra, Mad Decent DimMak, Armada and Spinnin’ and in the record bags of MistaJam (BBC R1), Timmy Trumpet, Andrew Rayel, Armin van Buuren, Diplo.

Greg Downey is the owner of the ‘Skullduggery’ imprint, and has been releasing music since 2007, getting nods from Vandit, Spinnin’ Records, Kearnage, Who’s Afraid of 138 and FSOE. Christian Burns is a multi-platinum selling singer and songwriter who has collaborated with Tiesto, BT, Armin van Buuren, Benny Benassi and Anjunadeep’s Jody Wisternoff on 2020’s ‘The Spark’.

Richie Blacker made his Anjunadeep debut with ‘2 Late 4 Love’ in 2021. With releases on Sasha’s Last Night On Earth imprint and Skream’s Of Unsound Mind label, Richie’s robust productions have garnered support from BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard and Pete Tong, and producers including Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed and Dee Montero.
