Nurture, and Porter's general existence truly means a lot to me. Admittedly have been in a bit of a creative slump lately, just working on the same 4-5 songs over and over again with no new ideas, but Nurture was an album that gave me hope. It showed me that even my biggest idols are vulnerable and sharing the same struggles that I am, and that we're all human.

I wrote this song in a day and a half, as a bit of a loveletter to the album, with a few motifs to some of my favorite songs from it! Not my most polished work to date, but I had a lot of fun writing it. Got a long awaited collab dropping next week ;P

T​he award-winning Future Disco compilation series returns with its 14th instalment, ‘Dance Club’, an embodiment and celebration of dancing, unity and togetherness, packed with music from key artists such as Dimitri From Paris, Dr Packer, Gerd Janson, Aeroplane & more.
Following a year of club closures and festival cancellations, 2020 was a year unlike any other. Our separation from the club environment was a reminder of its inherent beauty, empowering nature and community of dancers. ‘Dance Club’ symbolises this embodiment that draws people to one common purpose - to dance.
Following the series’ 10t​h anniversary, the release of 2020’s highly regarded ‘Visions of Love’ album garnered widespread support. Now, Future Disco is back with eighteen tracks carefully curated by label owner Sean Brosnan with some of the finest disco and club-ready DJ tools to soundtrack the summer of 2021 and beyond.
In Sean’s own words, ‘The dance club is a concept that focuses on the most important aspect of dance music - the dancing itself. This album is a celebration album, which sounds strange in such difficult times, but it’s a celebration of dancing and how we have so badly missed this expression. How we will dance again in the future, and it’s going to be better and bigger than ever.’
Opening proceedings, ​Dimitri from Paris steps up with ​Yusek’s remix of ‘Can’t Get Enough’ offering a perfect sunlit moment to rejoice in. ​Ron Basejam’s rework of label signee ​Black Hawks of Panama sets the tone, with an upright funk selection that struts on an infectious bassline. Amongst the many highlights, series regular ​COEO drives through a melodic transition to early 90’s rave, replete with embracing piano-chords and an old school rolling rhythm section.
Drawing out the excursion, rising star Jansons takes on remix duties for ​Tommy Farrow’s belter ‘Let’s Just’, which saw widespread success, reaching ​BBC Radio 1 playlisting and nearing 1m streams. This mainroom powerhouse of a record is fittingly escorted by ​Catz n Dogs and ​Gerd Janson’s epically euphoric ‘Modern Romance’. Special mention must go to the run of exclusives, edits and unreleased tracks here as ​Theo Kottis provides a sublime Future Disco edit of his excellent ‘Seventies’ and we get a Future Disco vocal version of ​New World’s ‘​Glances’. Completing the new offerings we have the soulful funk of ‘L’atellier’ by ​ANTENNA!​, and an edit of ‘Joy’ by ​The Showfa ​which ​is as uplifting as its name would suggest.

Eliza Noble and Jennifer Skillman are Eli & Fur: the British live act, singer-songwriter and producer duo whose career together stretches back for nearly a decade. Having formed a close bond in their teens born out of their unwavering passion for music in all its guises, their careers as DJs, songwriters, vocalists and producers has taken them around the globe as touring musicians and seen them grace the stages of the biggest festivals in the world including Coachella, Tomorrowland and Glastonbury. 

‘Found In The Wild’ is the pair’s long-awaited studio debut which will be released this summer on seminal electronic imprint and long-time label home Anjunadeep on 25th June. A dual part album concept, ‘Found in The Wild’ is a sonic presentation of two contrasting and quintessential parts of the unique Eli & Fur sound; two sides of the Eli & Fur which they are finally ready to share with the world, “We wanted to show both sides of us. We are quite varied in the way that we write music and so it made sense to have two parts living side by side. Everything we really love is on the album and we’re super proud of how it’s come together”. 

The first half of the album ‘Found’ is a collection of song-based productions which show Eli & Fur’s strengths as songwriters, vocalists and producers in equal measure. Having begun their careers as songwriters at renowned production house Xenomania writing hits for pop acts like Girls Aloud, Eli & Fur’s talents as songwriters are abundantly clear. 

Released today, ‘Wild Skies’ is taken from the ‘Found’ collection - a sensual and otherworldly ensemble which glues the duo’s trademark textured sound palette together perfectly. "Wild Skies came together so organically and naturally. I felt like I was expressing myself without even really realising how and the melodies just fell out of me. A lot of the time, I’ll write lyrics before the song, but with this one there was no preparation whatsoever, I just sat down at the computer with the microphone and sung, and that was that!” (Fur).  

The second half of the LP ‘In the Wild’ is a change in gear conceptually and ventures into the more upbeat, clubbier side of the project - these tracks explore the girls’ penchant for emotive productions geared for the dancefloor which find the sweet spot between the dark and the emotive, marrying evocative vocals written around their own experiences as young musicians with their unique brand of euphoric club cuts. Presented side by side as ‘Found In The Wild’, the first album from Eli & Fur shows the artists at their most assured.
