It's a delight to be first to share the euphoric soulful sounds of Rosie From The Block's "Let Me Be". Taken from the "Love Potions For Block Parties" EP on Vice City, by a producer, singer and DJ better known as Roselien. 

Whilst her Roselien moniker has been rushing through the London jazz, soul and rnb scene by various live shows downtown and her monthly "La Vie En Rose" radio show on Totally Wired Radio in the east side of town, her newest project Rosie From The Block is coming out of the blue on your favourite cities' label with refreshing but sharp broken beats, soulful and gospel like vocals along with a strong message and a soft touch of herself.

She already caught attention and support from big names worldwide such as Lefto, Erica McKoy and Reggie Watts, a remix done by Broken Beat's leading artist Kaidi Tatham and done support shows for Gregory Porter, Meshel Ndegeocello, The Jones Girls, Bilal and Gabriel Garzon Montano, Roselien is at least Belgium's hardest working girl within her niche.

The story she's telling with “Let me be” is a strong and empowered message what every woman has experienced on the streets: namely harassment in public places and she's putting a belt below any girl's- or woman's heart.

A wonderful album full of Balearic vibes, funky riffs and mellow moments, originally released in 1980.

BBE Music are excited to announce this highly sought after album titled ‘Will & James Ragar One” which will be reissued on Vinyl and CD as well as across digital platforms.

James and Will Ragar hail from Louisiana, where their early education into music began. At a young age they moved to New Orleans - where they heard live Jazz for the first time. This inspiration is demonstrated through their free approach to this album.

Their natural evolution through the Louisiana club scene saw them develop and hone their talents of adding that southern swag to covers they did, almost making them their own.

‘Will and James Ragar One’ is a blend of acoustic and electric tones, carefully and cohesively put together by the brothers.

‘As the Day Grows Tired’ is the first song on the album and one of the first songs James wrote.

The theme for ‘She’s Laughter’ is about returning home to someone you love and features a heavy guitar solo. ‘My Shining Sun’ has an unusual jazz form and is an ode to the joy of playing music. ‘Don’t Wish’ was inspired by a jazz chord progression that was a favourite, James played the solo on a pearwood soprano recorder. Gary Roberts played percussion on the session and also played the flute on ‘Just a Wanderer’.

He has been away for a little while, but his new 10-tracker album is the perfect tool for him to make his anticipated return. "Deep is dead" is a fascinating mix of organic and synthetic, past and present, smoothness and eclectic, darkness and brightness. The Spanish producer has veered away from those dub-heavy and dark atmospheric deep stylings, and instead has ventured into much classic house and musically territory. Almost all songs are soaked in warm chords, dreamy leads and gripping melodies. Dubbyman also offers an immense and stunning roster of credits and guest musicians such as Kuniyuki Takahashi, Leo Gunn and George Btp aka Allstarr Motomusic, just to mention a few.

Max Graef and Julius Conrad are Ratgrave. 'Rock' is their second LP ~ ongoing transmissions of Electronic P-Fusion from Earth.

It follows a stellar debut on Funkineven's imprint Apron. The duo's sound pallette draws inspiration from 80's funk, soul, rock and electronic but through a contemporary lens from two versatile multi-instrumentalists. In their own words:

"Rock is the essence of energy and vibration we felt in different styles of music, almost like a parallel component connecting all things we like. In the process of recording the new album we kept coming back to this essence no matter what style the original idea was. There was the raw and brutal energy of Jazz-Rock, a lot of video game influences that somehow adhered this essence just as well as quieter Pop and Psychedelic passages that we recorded. Among other things we absorbed a lot of heavy music during the time of the recording like Blue Cheer, Black Sabbath, Frank Zappa or Jimi Hendrix and realized while writing our own music how much impact they had even on quieter songs. This is why "Rock“ felt like the perfect title although the music ranges from P-Funk and Spiritual Jazz to various styles of Pop and beyond.“
