I recorded this mix around Valentines Day with love on the brain, mostly putting together some street-soul and new jack then transitioning into boogie. It starts off a bit lounge leaning and then progresses into what one of my nights sound like in the basement of Black Flamingo as the room starts to fill up. 

I got my start blogging and writing about music while working days in ad design and branding, eventually moving into party programming in Atlanta at the Sound Table and bringing in artists like Young Marco, Palmbomen, Rick Wade, Eli Escobar and more. After I moved to New York I continued to write contributing to websites like the defunct vertical THUMP under VICE before taking a job at Output before opening up Black Flamingo in Brooklyn. At the club we tilt towards house, disco, soul, funk, afro, reggae, and left-field sounds. The short interpretation is "party" music for people to dance to.

Originally born in Korea then settling down in the US, 3kelves explores the feeling of nightlife and afterhours all around San Francisco. Influenced by Denis Sulta, Krystal Klear, DJ Koze, Leon Vynehall, Lone, Roy of the Ravers, and Matthew Dear, his first two EPs delves into different styles of house music from dark undertone of yougon to disco-fueled house of gogogogogo to acid-influenced of some sort to Drum and Bass overdrive DrumBassPeral. It has something for all electronic music lovers. 3kelves can also be found spinning disco and house music all around San Francisco clubs to cliffs to cozy cabins.

Natasha Kmeto is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and singer from Portland, OR. Her music weaves soulful vocals through planes of timeless electronic production. Kmeto’s live show is an emotionally immersive experience; open and honest lyrics are compellingly set over dynamic minimal rhythms and unique, lush soundscapes. As a queer artist composing for the future, Kmeto’s music is still very much steeped in the rich history of dance music with reverential nods to house, electro, d'n'b and techno. Her songs aim to connect, and give an intimate glimpse into often untold stories while making the listener feel they've known the story all along.
