Made up of a deep and voluminous array of remixes, alternative versions and DJ-friendly dubs, 'Re-Vibrations' is Good Vibrations Music's most ambitious release to date. Originally released as a highly limited vinyl double-pack to celebrate Record Store Day 2019, 'Re-Vibrations' is now available in an expanded digital download package featuring additional, previously unheard mixes by Karizma (as Kaytronik), IG Culture, QB Smith and Sean McCabe. 

Sean McCabe: "The story behind how the mix came about was that IG was inspired by the widely loved Frankie Feliciano's remix on "I Know Someone" which came out in May this year, of which he initially did a re-edit using Frankie's keyapella and beats. IG chopped up Frankie's beats into a broken beat style on this version while layering the keyapella over it. IG messaged me on Instagram to let me know he'd done this version (This was the first time we'd ever spoken). I was feeling it instantly and so was Frankie. I asked him if he wanted to do a proper remix if Frankie could send him the stems, so some of the pads and keys you hear in the background came from Frankie's version and the original. This was a last minute addition to the comp, which IG turned around in just a few weeks and I'm very glad that he wanted to be a part of the project."

While all of us are living the quarantine life, Good Room has asked friends and residents to share mixes for our Solitude Series so you can dance on your own. The 25th mix comes from Matt FX. Matt FX is a DJ, producer, music supervisor, and emerging food personality. As a DJ, Matt approaches each and every set with an irreverence that the New York Times calls 'interesting social commentary on multiple levels'. As a music supervisor, he's the  man behind the soundtrack of the Comedy Central show BROAD CITY. As a producer, he just released his debut single Vaquero on Sorry Records. 100% of sales proceeds from Vaquero go to Crisis Text Line, a nonprofit organization offering free 24/7 mental health support. Here's what he had to say about the mix;

"This mix is a reflection on a trip I took to Mexico in early March right before the Covid-19 Lockdown began. On the very first night that I arrived I played a six hour all-night set at Departamento that is now one of my top 10 all-time DJ memories. Later in the trip I also had a profound experience in Tepotzlan that led me to produce Vaquero after returning to NYC. Good Room is without a doubt my favorite [legal] place to dance and DJ in New York - so grateful to be able to contribute to the solitude series!"

Thanks for tuning in to this month's Deeper Rhythms - a deep journey and a full flavoured brew of the latest and hottest sprinkled with one or two gems from the vault. This is real House Music, with soul, and music that's part of the family, for real Househeads. Deeper than the earth's core, with flavours of Africa and aromas of Chicago and NYC, from the scenes that linked Ladbroke Grove and Peckham, to the boys and girls in Amsterdam, Hamburg and Berlin. The funk always prevails. Let the colours move your body and soul...... My mixes are a blend of some of my favourite tracks that have been released in the last few weeks, and here and there you'll get something that deserves another listen that you might not have heard for a while. THIS MONTH:  People are forgetting to use the power of their minds.  Think deeper, think higher, elevate, and reconnect with love.  Too much hatred.  Too much bloodshed.  Too much violence.  Not enough contemplation, not enough willingness to understand.  Every one of us can make life better for all of us, simply by refocusing our mind, body and soul.  This month's mix is dedicated to my son, who worked hard at school and got the results he deserves.  Well done Chunky.
