onedotsixtwo welcomes Oliver & Tom, those Argentine masters of groove and emotion, to showcase more of their exceptional groove dynamics with ‘Platurno’ and ‘Southern Lakes’, following on from their debut ‘Penny’ EP (ODST0032) and their uniquely beautiful remix interpretation of Ian Dillon’s ‘Lucid Dream’ (ODST0033). This superb package is completed with a melodic masterpiece remix of ‘Platurno’ from Melbourne’s emotive master GMJ.

Having been originally introduced to the onedotsixtwo global audience via their ‘True Level’ contribution to Gustin’s excellent ‘Synchronicity’ (ODST0019) mix comp, Oliver & Tom’s skilled musicianship – a symbiosis that originated in their childhood, having grown up together playing guitar and drums, followed by studying piano and synthesizer – has seen them become firm label favourites.

The pulsating ‘Platurno’, with its joyous and beautiful layers of melody, once again highlights the duo’s exceptionally skilled musicianship that sets them apart from the crowd. Their ability to create perfectly arranged productions is further highlighted by the equally heavenly, melody-rich ‘Southern Lakes’. 

GMJ’s boundless passion for deep emotive electronic music has ensured his relentless rise up the ladder of global recognition in recent years, and having recently showcased his masterful abilities with ‘Periphery’ (ODST0027), he now works his remix magic on ‘Platurno’ to create one of his trademark, joyously euphoric, proper progressive interpretations, to complete yet another exceptional onedotsixtwo package.

Grass-scented purity and heavenly glow, almost like running on a field at night with the wind on your face, ''Jadhe'' leaves that exquisite taste, Kamilo Sanclemente does it again.

The renowned Colombian DJ/Producer inaugurates Nature Rec's first release with a highest level piece. With flying arpeggios, feeling deep, trance's fine drops and a distinctive elegance, ''Jadhe'' will be a treasurable masterpiece without a doubt.

Always searching, exploring new melodic textures, and with a tribal touch, comes the first remix from label managers Leo Perez and Dhany G. A Panama-Cuba union, these major artists, who have been merging their sonorities since a while, concretize with Nature groove for an excellent caliber club track.

Anew from Colombia, comes the second remix from extremely talented Gux Jiménez, one of Cartagena's Progressive sound exponents nowadays. With special leads and distorted synths, Gux guides us between light and darkness, a midpoint in perfect balance, complemented by a solid rhythmic in constant motion.

Closing this sonorous tale, from Argentina, the great Santo Adriano up with EP's 3rd remix. Maintaining the essence, with freshness and a refined aesthetic, we may experiment a journey with minimalist streaks in a successful harmony with the groove. Santo connects and expands this launch's musical loop. Another gem from this collection.

Next on ICONYC sees the return of Alex O'Rion with the reworked 2020 edit of his smash hit 'Navagio'. The talented Dutch producer has been a well-known entity within the scene and has graced some of the world's finest electronic music labels with his unique and lasting productions. Hailing from Amsterdam, Alex, developed a unique style of music, full of ambiances, paired with despondent and warm dreamy patterns that guided him to where he is to today and embodies the sound he now personifies.

Alex leads with the outstanding rework of his timeless 'Navagio' track; a stunning driving melodic progressive house affair. The track utilizes a deep groove as foundation, underpinned by a profound bass and smooth synth chords that gradually ease their way to the summit. Unified by a relentless kick drum and dusky atmospheric emotion, the composition climaxes by adding recurrent percussive elements and soft soaked melodies that come together to create a structured sphere of sonic satisfaction.

On remix duty we welcome Kamilo Sanclemente & Dabeat, famed for their endless high-quality productions. Their interpretation sounds mature, effortless, and full of subtle nuance. Known to never be bound by any particular style, we see the duo taking a deeper route for their rework of 'Navagio'. Kamilo & Dabeat deliver a bittersweet, quality fueled, melancholic rework that manages to get your legs shaking with each downbeat. Great stuff!

Adding to our list of all-star remixers, we drafted in Subandrio who knows a thing or two when it comes to mind blowing reworks, turning his mix into an irresistible track using the original elements with perfection. Subandrio layers more melodies and effects, whilst upping the flow with cleverly programmed tech percussion and his trademark FX elements, without destroying the essence of the original. His rework deserves to be branded 'elemental' in any sense of the word.

Alex O'Rion has developed a unique style which endeared him to us; having established his credentials as a master of his craft. Alex's 'Navagio 2020 Rework', accompanied by 2 reworks from Kamilo Sanclemente & Dabeat and Subandrio, is certain to find its way into the playlists of the big-boys brigade. Another essential ICONYC release from the heart, for the dance loving soul.

Italian born but firmly ensconced in adopted Argentinean homeland, Andrea Cassino is an iconic figure in the underground dance movement with a glowing career that has seen over a century of credits in solo and collaborative guise for Proton Music, Lowbit and Balkan Connection. Making his Meanwhile debut, Andrea Cassino takes “Microclimate” on a typically impressive journey of driving mesmeric bass groove and syncopated percussion with its roots in the Australian duo’s work. Making intelligent use of original components, melodies hypnotise and new production material from the Cassino arsenal drifts across proceedings and into an unencumbered breakdown. Dropping back into the extended groove in the second half after a ‘hands in the air’ white-noise riser, the Italian has created another club floor-filler.

Argentinian duo Agustin Paez and Geronimo Nicolas make their return on MNL after their track 'Wercobast' was released on the Seasons | Summer 2019 EP. A song which remains one of their most known tracks to date. Now it's time to give them the full spotlight with their 'Vad Hander EP' which contains three brand new originals. All uplifting, heady, cleverly produced progressive house cuts which we expect will be welcomed into the scene with open arms.
