2020 was a year when we all needed beams of light at the end of the longest, darkest tunnel the world had found itself in decades. Instinctively, the Selador community rose to the challenge, none more so than Kiz Pattison & Micah, whose collaborative debut was a massive breakout tune from our Tenth Chapter showcase EP.

As DJ streams and dancing on impromptu dancefloors at home became the norm, Beam of Light became a regular feature in many a lockdown soundtrack, a major tune for the likes of Sasha, Anthony Pappa and of course our own directorship, Seaman & Parry. So with the vaccines arolling, club and festival dates being firmed up in our diaries and that beam of light seemingly growing brighter by the day, what better way to celebrate than with a top drawer remix package?

Booom! We are delighted to welcome Brazils techno don Renato Cohen back to Selador. Here he zeros in on the first of the original mixs killer hooks, the 80s styled motif that starts and ends the track, and builds an electro throbber that sounds like the Human League through a sparkling rave filter.

Oooof! Kiz & Micah then themselves deliver a new take, the 4am Dub, a darker, moodier interpretation of their original, showing off their deeper tendencies, like a big sister luring you over to the darker recesses of the dancefloor.

Pow! Long-time friend of Selador Robert Babicz, takes the hook from the originals showpiece drop and delivers a low slung breaks driven re-rub custom made for all you dubwise bass bin lurkers. And theres more its a Babicz double drop as he tenders an ambient mix that gives all those magical synth layers maximum room to breathe, gently building on the breeze.

Kerching! Were not finished yet! Its VFM time as Kiz and Micah deliver a brand new bonus track, the afroacidtechfunk workout that is The Key. Not to be missed, this beauty deserves its own moment in the spotlight, twisting and turning its way to instant earworm central.

ANMA & Aves Volare have developed a universally loved unique style; a dynamic, groovy, deep and hypnotic fusion of genres that perfectly fits in any kind of club or open-air festival. The duo's releases have always received high acclaim - with support across the board from the who is who is in the world of electronic music.

ANMA & Aves Volare know a thing or two when it comes to mind blowing productions, as they deliver an irresistible track that kicks things off nicely with the melancholic vibes setting the tone. They roam effortlessly through progressive inspired melodies, while the sultry chords sit wonderfully on top of the driving percussive foundation. The duo takes it up a notch by introducing Aves Volare's vocal work, whilst upping the flow with cleverly programmed drumming and his trademark FX elements, without destroying the essence of the main groove. Their work deserves to be branded 'essential' in any sense of the word.

On remix duty we welcome back label all-stars Sean & Dee after their hugely successful recent releases. Sean & Dee who are known for their driving and refined sound, keep the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general drive all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear yet sounding totally fresh - This massive touch up takes the energy quantities up a level and increases the drive with stripped back and lucid elements, before the energetic groove creates a blanket of warmth that will put a smile on your face.

The second remix comes courtesy of Eric Rose, who brings a more uplifting edge to 'Storm'. His rework creates a good feel vibe from the word go, as the atmospheric and driving vibe keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces that keeps building to culminate into a lovely melodic groover. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a stunning glow. 

With the talent on offer, ANMA & Aves Volare's 'Storm' manages to deliver a message of sustained musical relevance in emphatic fashion to warm the soul. Not to be missed!

Spring is here and we are happy to present to you a new EP courtesy from Yöurr, producer and DJ based in Hungary, with two original tracks: "New Transitions" and "Broken Barriers". And that's not all, in this pack we also included a remix of French duo Pandhora for "New Transitions" that is intended to fill our spirits with energy.

The first track "New Transitions" is a sound progression that brings us closer. it's an intimate, deep and spatial state of fulfilment. A sound experience full of emotions, dreamlike sensations and euphoria.

"Broken Barriers", the second track, has the magical characteristic of taking us to a universe of colours far from the isolation caused by the pandemic. This track materializes the energy we need to return to the dancefloor; turning percussions and synthesizers into the desire to feel free through dance again.

The last track is a solid reshape by Pandhora for "New Transitions". It's loaded with elements that make us travel to the best memories we have. It's an invitation to put our eyes on the future. 

We have missed the magical ritual of dancing surrounded by people but the dreamy breakdown of this piece is the perfect spell to fill that void.

One of the many benefits to Rabbit Records' carefully curated release schedule is the exposure it allows to emerging artists alongside the more established names in the scene. Here, Ezequiel Iensen, aka EZEK, drops his first EP for Blanka Barbara's label, following on from a multitude of releases on various melodic-techno-centered labels, tastemakers of the underground scene. Dimension EP showcases the Brazilian DJ and producer's talent for uncompromisingly melodic dancefloor-primed techno. "Elements" kicks off with a delicate groove welded to a miry bass synth and a sensual ambient choir line wrapping the listener in its epicurean embrace. Title track "Dimension" has a similar serene energy, but the almost ambient groove has a particular coolness to the atmosphere that yearns for enchanted open-air festival crowds.

Two more tracks, the incredibly tasteful and energetic remixes, complement the originals immensely. Created by the established names of the scene, Messier and WO-CORE, the featured remixes elevate the release to a new level adding an imaginative kind of euphoric malevolence through tightly controlled tension and its eventual release. Messier's approach to delivering the finest in pulsating, dancefloor-rocking melodic techno continues with his inspired take on "Elements" - the remix bubbles with menace and attitude; the added industrial vocal phrases spiral into moments of barely restrained euphoria.
