ANII makes her Renaissance debut with two cuts demonstrating beauty and power…

ANII is a rare artist crossing techno divides right now. There are few, if any, who can lay claim to a discography that swings from melodic titans like Afterlife, Herzblut and Sincopat to the admired, indie bastion of JEAMON! and legendary forefathers Kompakt. She even finds the wherewithal to run her own ANIITIME imprint - it’s fair to say she is one of the hardest working women in dance, whose output is as diverse as it is prolific. Now, she makes her Renaissance debut with two stunning, very different tracks that further confirm her fluid studio skills…

Taking the lead is The Innocents, which finds her in a haunting, introspective mood. “It’s inspired by cinema,” she explains, “I guess you could call it a tribute to the synth-driven, pioneer composers; from godfathers like Vangelis (RIP) and Tangerine Dream to contemporaries such as Hans Zimmer or Atticus Ross and Trent Reznor. I even chose the title ‘Innocents’ to evoke that feeling of indie film.”

The original’s roots are firmly electronica; it starts with a jaunty topline and 4/4, which develops into broken beat that cleverly holds its ever-so-beautiful riff back till the second half. “It is more experimental for me, but it was fun and rewarding to do,” ANII confirms.

To securely bring the track onto the dancefloor, Renaissance and ANII turned to another label family-member, Luke Garcia, who swiftly said yes and drafted-in his frequent collaborative partner Th3 Oth3R. “This was one of those rare tracks that was very different, yet offered massive potential,” they explain, “we agreed to do it because we could immediately hear that infectious riff, powered-up for peak time!”

Two years on since the release of their latest offering for the label, "Continents III", Swedish duo Elfenberg resurfaces on Stil vor Talent with "Macacos Rosas" - a four-track EP giving full room to their genre-hopping fantasies, playful persona and outside-the-box production philosophy.  Last but not least, this mouthwatering package comes complete with a remix from high-profile Mexican outfit, Zombies in Miami.

Drawing first blood, "Acid Sins Ever Since" channels a vibrant mix of energies, bending the scope between crisp breakbeat traction and 303-infused psy-ops with seamless ease. A proper bouncy joint, geared up for optimal soul and body entrancement down the basement. Proper EBM stuff by the book, laced with a hint of Detroit-influenced electro for good measure, "Bambaataa" takes us on a hectic ride with its laser-guided arpeggios painting all kinds of vivid, lysergic motifs in the sky - perfect for cosmonautical loiterings and frantic boogie sessions altogether. 

Taking Italo for a nocturnal stroll in the jungle, "Macacos Rosas" finds Elfenberg dishing out a melancholia-drenched disco workout, packed with enough all-night-ready oomph and dreamy vaporousness to withstand all types of DJ use and abuse. Adding their inimitably floor-efficient spin to the lead-single, Zombies in Miami pull out the heavy rave artillery for the occasion. A forward-dashing smorgasbord of processed Andean pipes, mystic forest sounds and powerhouse bass moves leading the charge, the Mexican duo's revamp summons visions so deep you'll have a hard time wriggling yourself out of their all-engulfing hoodoo spell.

Good news! Garsi is back on JEAHMON! Records. After her massive and impressive debut in 2022 with "For A Vibe" we are so happy to welcome her back with two more brilliant bangers. A1-Track "LDN" comes with a break attitude, kind of future-retro Indie style but absolutely on point for the floor! A strict voice plus a warm Synthwave lead line make this track definitely a killer for special moments. The second track "TLV" is more straight but not less magical and powerful. What a great vibe it creates! In addition, label head Marc DePulse didnt miss the chance to put his fingers on the leading track. Marc goes back to a 4x4 rhythm with his translation of "LDN". Garsi - "TLV" (Original Mix)

Digitakt and Syntakt together with the crunchy old JV-2080 in a chill beat. Basses: Syntakt + a Solid Bass patch on the JV. Drums and percs: the Syntakt on toms and Digitakt doing some chopped up drums. Ambient sounds: a little bit of everything, for example an incredible warm Soundtrack pad patch on the JV, and high strings from the Syntakt and other one shots and melodic hits sampled into the Digitakt for more effects and filters (JV no being too fast to program compared to modern gear). I happened to leave the Syntakt metronome on, mistake but not terribly bad either. JV and Digitakt mixed via a small 8 channel deck and then into Syntakt for that bad ass overdrive. Oh, and the TC Electronic M300 does some chorus on one of the JV dry outputs. That is about it. Enjoy!
