Continuing their trailblazing ways, Cid Inc's Replug Records closes out the spring season by welcoming Mike Griego back to the label for a new EP.  Coming off the 2019 release of 'Sienna' for Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, the Argentinean artist racked up an impressive 2020. Backed by a remix from Cid Inc, Mike's much hyped 'Solaris' arrived in July via Replug, a track which now sits at the top of his Beatport best seller's chart. Rounding out the year in style, the Buenos Aires resident then debuted on Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, with the tastefully nostalgic 'My Last Hope', a creation which anchored the label's 'Winter Collection' long player. Now presenting his first new music of 2021, Mike lands back on Replug with a two-track showcase entitled 'Dysbiosis'.

Always trending on the stylized spectrum of progressive music, 'Dysbiosis' finds Mike capturing that rare combination of cutting-edge creativity and emotive musicality. Taking square aim at the dance floor are a backbone of charged beats and a wall of shapely, key changing bass.  Fiery percussion and lively rhythms lock down the groove further, as ghostly vocal wails and stunning effects trail across the stereo field. Sitting at the heart of the creation is a two-minute centrepiece, where a percussive blur melts down into an effervescent glow of melody and colour. Reflective in nature, these clustered notes ring out in timeless suspension, tastefully building to a finale that is both electrifying and elegant.

The companion piece 'Waste Of Time'' impresses further with its buoyant energy and vivacious storyboard. Warm, full and incredibly fluid, it's rolling groove and rhythmic pulses are transcendent, building momentum as hazy melodies delight with their fuzzy charm. Expediting the journey are layers of mesmerizing percussion and trailing effects, uniting for a hypnotizing drawl leading into a cosmic break, which ultimately preludes a groovy finish.

Mike Griego's long standing relationship with Replug has produced several of progressive music's most memorable moments. 'Dysbiosis' once again follows suit, landing with impact and emotion, setting the course for one of the summer seasons most in demand releases.

A prolific and equally talented artist, Rick Pier O'Neil has won a host of plaudits for his "One Side of the Underground" series. Now reaching its fifth outing, the "Vol, 5" opener sees Rick join forces with Anthony G, a successful producer on the likes of Balkan Connection, Stellar Fountain and RPO Records. Driven by a pounding beat and subterranean bass groove, a heads-shaking percussion lays the foundation for a rich collage of melodies to flow across "Kohana" in powerful fashion. Ethereal vocal touches add further to the entwined motifs as a cascading arpeggio increases intrigue. Another collaboration sees Modern Agenda, Dopamine White and RPO Records contributor, Echo Daft, create a multi-faceted offering in "Vatsalya". A rolling rhythm creates the perfect vehicle for a swathe of motifs to swirl across the stereo spectrum and a central melody is repeated to potent effect. Once again vocal treatments add to the overall feel as the track waxes and wanes with ease in a progressive house powerhouse. The third original track sees O'Neil in solo guise as a club-friendly bassline soon finds a layer of melodies sat elegantly atop to create a glorious soundscape that revels in textured pads and gated white noise patterns. A deep and mesmerising offering, "Chaliponga" is full of the trademark flair that is so prominent in the French star's music.

Trilucid need little introduction to the underground dance faithful. A UK duo with a host of impressive production credits to their name for Perspectives Digital, Colorize and Songbird, their work for Proton Music has seen 2019s "Glint" and 2020's "Astral" (the latter with Phil Martyn) light up the label with a vibrant and memorable sound. Remixing Petar Dundov's "Salvation" in late 2020, Trilucid now return with a typically impressive remix of "The Sinner". Wrapped in a chunky rhythmic groove, familiar refrains from O'Neil, Michael and Levan and Stiven Rivic's original shine through amidst a chorus of new production work from the Trilucid studio. As the track evolves a stunning new motif is revealed that commands the listener's attention as it perfectly syncopates to the new percussive backdrop. Building in intensity, the breakdown and third movement showcase Trilucid's abundant skill and craftsmanship.

Fresh from a successful remix of Juan Deminicis and the forthcoming "Run Only Run" EP on Particles, Gux Jimenez has carved out quite a name for himself from his Cartagena home. A veteran of over 200 production credits since a 2008 debut, music signed to UV, Clubsonica Records and Balkan Connection have kept the Colombian firmly in the limelight. Now debuting on Proton Music, the Gux Jimenez remix of "Imperial" takes the track on a driving voyage of meandering melodic flow, capturing themes that resonate with the original in new and exciting directions as soaring phrases coruscate within a rich sonic tapestry. The powerful groove adds a dynamic edge to proceedings and a rippling arpeggio in the second half adds class and maturity to an impressive debut.

New original tracks plus remixes from Trilucid and Gux Jimenez keep Rick Pier O'Neil front and centre "One Side of the Underground".

Continuing a strong fall season, Clubsonica Records welcomes Matan Caspi back to the label for a new single. Highly regarded by his fans and contemporaries, the Tel Aviv resident is considered one of the most refreshing electronic music talents to come out of Israel. Having the distinction as one of the most Top 10 charted artists in Beatport's Progressive House section, Matan has showcased his music via a plethora of major labels, most notably Anjunabeats, Armada, Spinnin and Universal Music. March of 2018 marked Matan's Clubsonica debut with the well-received Crosswinds', before going on to contribute a track to the label's Miami Music Week' sampler a few short weeks later. Following projects for his Outta Limits imprint, Matan now returns to Clubsonica with a new single entitled Serengeti', alongside remixes from Dmitry Molosh and Juan Pablo Torrez and Dabeat.

Continuing what has been a fruitful year, Matan steps forward with Serengeti' which showcases his originality and sophistication as an artist. Anchored by a warm, muscular groove and smooth rhythmic pulses, the energy is striking from the outset. Cross cultural vocal phrasing steals the air as the first act evolves, elegantly moving through a forest of exotic drums and sweeping effects. Carrying into the main break, guitar slides add further musicality, marrying beautifully with fragmented vocals as waves of effects and drums unite for an exhilarating crescendo and suitably large finale.

Returning to the label and providing the first interpretation of Serengeti' is Dmitry Molosh. Widely regarded as a top tier talent in the progressive music scene, Dmitry's long-standing relationship with Clubsonica dates back to 2016 with a contribution to the label's ADE' sampler. The Belarusian artist would then go on to deliver two singles and a remix over the next four years. Now a veteran of the progressive house underground, Dmitry continues to showcase his music on the genre's premiere imprints, such as Cid Inc's Replug Records and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music. Continuing what has been a prolific year, Dmitry now returns to Clubsonica with a spellbinding rendition of Serengeti'. A perfect balance of warmth and drive provides the foundation for fluid rhythms, buoyant arps and flickering percussion to work their magic. Sleeker and more hypnotic than the original, its peak time sensibility resonates across the first act, as icy pads provide a bridge into the main break, relieving tension for moments of tonal warmth, as a steady build sparks goosebump worthy moments, onwards to a thumping finale.

The release concludes with Clubsonica label boss Juan Pablo Torrez and occasional studio partner Dabeat providing the second and final interpretation of Serengeti'. Operating from the heart of Colombia's electronic music scene, this talented duo has collaborated in the past with exceptional results. A combined discography reveals a host of highly regarded landing spots, with Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, Beatfreak, Perspectives Digital and Proton Music being the most notable. Beloved as their country's foremost progressive music talents, Juan and Dabeat now unite once again for a special collaborative remix of Serengeti'. Warm and shapely, an undulating groove sits at the root of the track, providing the perfect backbone for reprocessed vocals and organic drums to delicately dance above. The Mediterranean moods from the original delight across the first act, bringing newfound musicality as wispy effects raise tension leading into the main break. Looking to bring greater emotional depth, the centrepiece proves impactful with fragmented arps, buzzing bass swells and poignant chord changes banding together for a spirited crescendo and glowing final movement. An inspired remix from Juan Pablo Torrez and Dabeat once again, capping off a welcome return to Clubsonica Records for Matan Caspi.

'Techno veteran Petar Dundov makes his debut on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records with his new track 'Neopar', a beautiful deep progressive track filled with atmospheric bells and cosmic pads.

On remix duty, also making his debut on the label, is the renowned Cid Inc. The respected Finnish producer utilizes the melodic touch of the bells from the original track and raises the tempo, creating a peak-time progressive cut.

To close out the package, the label bosses themselves lift the energy on their remix with a blend of dynamic drums and a bouncy bass-line.

He counts a long list of heavy labels on his back catalogue like Cocoon, Systematic, SCI+TEC, Music Man, MOOD and Last Night On Earth, to name just a few.

Petar Dundov makes intelligent electronic music that breaks boundaries, moves feet and twists minds. He is without a doubt one of the most inspiring, original and daring producers in electronica, and with the likes of Sven Väth, Laurent Garnier, Dubfire, Nicole Moudaber, Adam Beyer, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, and Danny Tenaglia amongst his fans, it would be hard to disagree.'

Of the many collaborative pairings within the electronic music scene, Gavin Griffin and Matty Doyle continually impress. As the pair return to Proton Music once more under their GMJ and Matter monikers, Proton Music is proud to announce the release of the "Interscope" EP.

Hugely successful artists in their own rights, "the spatial atmospheres and organic rhythms" that epitomise the GMJ sound, saw him nominated as one of 2016's "Best Progressive House Artists". Work for Particles, Balkan Connection and Open Records bear witness to such a statement, as do October 2017's "Sovereign Reality" EP for Proton Music and March 2018's "22" with Hungarian star, East Café. Similarly, Matter's "deep synth lines, driving bass and pulsating rhythms" have provided him with a host of production credits for the likes of Superordinate Music, Balkan Connection and Mistique Music, while December 2016's "Pronoia" and November 2017's "We Are Dust" EPs showcased a wealth of talent on Proton Music.

Together, the Melbourne based duo have seen their work hit some of the finest modern underground imprints, most notably with "Earthless" part of the fourth "Anjunadeep Explorations" series in September 2017. Joining forces for two original EPs on Proton Music, May 2016's "Superposition" and June 2017's "Osmosis" highlighted the distinctive GMJ and Matter sound, while a standout remix of Andre Sobota's "Unmute" at 2017's end represented another side to the pair's production arsenal.

Welcoming the Australian collaborative pairing back to Proton Music for a third outing, GMJ and Matter now return with the "Interscope" EP. A seismic kick drum and delicate percussive cadence form the bedrock for the title track as a trademark cavernous bassline gently pulsates through the low-end. Evolving effortlessly, an arpeggiated riff appears, hypnotically skipping across the track while a series of textured pads add depth in abundance. Emotive chord progressions supply spine-tingling energy that make their presence felt in a sonically inspiring breakdown sequence, before dance-floor rhythms return in the third movement with a host of counterpoint motifs, swirling effects and expertly crafted production details.

The partner track sees, "To the Stars" immediately scintillate with its shaker-fuelled percussion and forceful four-to-the-floor kick. An intricately programmed rhythmic cadence provides the perfect vehicle for a subterranean bassline to appear with maximum impact as it drives the track forwards with ease. Shimmering melodic sequences complement the rhythmic patterns in an arpeggio sequence that pitches and falls in a rousing third movement zenith. Multi-faceted pads and vocal phrasing complement the core melodies creating Laurentian Abyss-like depth, as the track transcends the modern progressive house sound with genuine craft and talent.

A rare breadth of talent sees "Interscope" forged from GMJ and Matter's white-hot creative furnace.
