Seven years of active production, he is definitely one of those who raised the Albanian music scene to a higher level. This is not his first appearance on our label. In 2017, he released a single in collaboration with Jorgio Kioris, entitled "Crossing The Line". Three years after Da Luka returns to the label with two new singles accompanied by fantastic remixes by Erdi Irmak and East Cafe! Definitely something that everyone who loves deep and progressive sounds, must listen to the release of "Libra"!

Label boss Madloch returns to 3rd Avenue with a new single entitled ‘Flow State'. With the majority of the Belgian artist's output being reserved for parent label Sound Avenue, it's a rare occurrence for Madloch to land on it's more progressive minded counterpart. May of 2019 did however yield the two track ‘Grindstone' EP, which found the Belgian artist focusing on the groovier, more esoteric side of the genre. Now making an unexpected return Madloch presents a new single alongside remixes from Subandrio and Beije. 

Although becoming increasingly more known for his deep, dubby productions; Madloch explores the tougher, peak time inspired side of his repertoire here. Pulsating and energetic, it's a creation built around rhythmic drive and tension filled motifs. Piercing tones and percussive flurries steal the air as a warm, fluid groove undulates below. As the first act evolves a hook heavy acid line fades to prominence, before a wave of frayed percussion unleashes emotive chord changes and impassioned overlays. Brief but impactful, the main break pushes the sonic envelope with one final rush of noise to spark an exhilarating finale. 

The first interpretation of ‘Flow State' is provided by Subandrio who makes his label debut. As one of his country's most highly regarded progressive music talents, the Sri Lankan artist has long been a favourite of genre tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Releases on Cid Inc's Replug Records, Beat Boutique, Balance Music and Sudbeat sit prominently in his discography, as he continues to sit amongst the movement's elite. Now following a remix for Chris Cargo, the Colombo resident debuts on 3rd Avenue with a powerful rendition of ‘Flow State'. Always a creative remixer, Subandrio deconstructs the main elements into newfound themes for what sits as an ideal complement to the original. Atop a tough, full bodied groove comes rippling bass tones, clattering drums and buzzing synths. It's a remarkable sonic marriage and one which makes for an energetic yet tense journey, feverously peaking as sizzling acid lines burn across the break, before an exhilarating final act puts a cap on this creative gem.

Rounding out the release and providing the second and final interpretation of ‘Flow State' is Beije. The Canadian duo are no strangers to the Belgian imprint having delivered their ‘Novo' EP in 2019, while a remix for Jeff Eveline's ‘Crashes In Love' landed in March of this year. Also finding a home on Manual Music, Sound Avenue and Where The Heart Is, Beije's fresh take on melodic house has propelled them into one of the genre's top up and coming acts. Now making a welcome return to 3rd Avenue, the Toronto residents deliver an impassioned take on ‘Flow State'. Glacial lines, ethereal vocal wails and soulful strums unite for a gorgeous blend of sound and colour. Spirited instrumentation gets teased across the break, adding a nostalgic flair before effortlessly shifting energy into a glowing finale. A gorgeous remix from Beije which caps off a welcome return to 3rd Avenue for label boss Madloch.

Jack Lazarus - In The Mountains (Highjacks Remix)

The latest release from Deersky’s Soundteller Records welcomes KYOTTO to the label for his debut EP. The Sri Lankan artist first appeared on the progressive music scene in 2017 with releases on Clinique Recordings, Hot Cue Music and Zephyr Music. The following two years yielded similar successes with a string of releases for Polyptych. 2020 has seen KYOTTO contribute to the the Shagara Records ‘Stelliferous’ compilation in addition to an EP for Nikko’Z’s Dopamine White. Now landing on Soundteller Records for the first time, KYOTTO presents his ‘White Lights’ EP.

Continuing to gain fans with his progressive sounds, it is the title track ‘White Lights’ which leads the release off. Anchored by a tough yet warm kick, its rhythmic core rises quickly, with layers of detailed percussion and lively rhythms filling in the framework. Placid atmospheres bring hopeful qualities while sweeping effects add an old school progressive vibe. Relying heavily on rhythm and groove, it’s tracky nature sucks you in across the first act, perfectly setting up an emotional break which spearheads a heavenly finale.

The EP’s midway point finds KYOTTO exploring more heady percussive grooves with ‘Until We Meet Again’. Its chunky foundation is rugged and well shaped, characterized by rippling contours and rolling undulation. Buoyant and powerful, it provides the perfect framework for waves of percussion, vocal gates and quirky effects to steal the air. The narrative shifts into emotive territory as the breakdown smoothly moves through tranquil overlays and gorgeous tonal themes, before smoothly segueing into a groovy final movement.

Rounding out the release are the smooth, uplifting vibes of ‘Nights in Santorini’. Punchy beats, chugging basslines and rolling percussion unite for a groovy rhythmic core. Rising atmospheres and emotive chord changes then advance the narrative, elevating mood with each successive loop, before symphonic themes and a reflective break seal it’s emotive appeal. It caps off a gorgeous EP from KYOTTO, making for a brilliant Soundteller debut and adding to Sri Lanka’s growing list of progressive music talents. Highly recommended.

We are thrilled to welcome Ras Algethi back to the label with his latest 2 track 'Cirque EP'. With previous outings on ICONYC, Lost on You and Art Vibes Music to name a few, the Russian producer is no stranger to the scene with his driving melodic progressive influenced productions. We kick things off with the outstanding opening track 'Herculesus' a stunning driving melodic techno affair, that employs a deep groove as the basis of the track underpinned by a deep bass that gradually eases its way to the breakdown before unleashing into a rising melodic hook that climaxes into the highpoint of the track as the full force of percussive drive and harmonies combine to see out this great opener. Exciting and essential stuff! Next up Ras drops the outstanding title track 'Cirque'; that starts to delve into deeper more melodic territory, which sees lush pads fused with chord hits highlighted by Ras Algethi's trademark bass patterns, before all manner of varied melodies weave in and out of the stereo field that find the right balance between house and techno to make it an ideal all-round weapon. There's really not much else to say, we'll just let the music do the talking. With pounding melodic arrangements that are so warm and driving, Ras Algethi underpins his status as a true craftsman with the excellent 'Cirque EP', which is certain to find its way into the playlists of the big-name brigade. We are delighted to welcome back Dowden to ICONYC Noir with his brand new 'Inertia EP'. The EP kicks off with 'Have Hope'; a grooving deep progressive influenced house roller fusing chord stabs with manipulated string ensembles and clinical percussion that culminate into a club inspired piece of house music. Dowden's trademark beat maneuvering is prevalent, as all manner of elements drift in and out of earshot. Perfect for progressive loving club crowd and to get you in the mood for a big night out.
