Burger Steak is back with his second ever release for us. The BS-Style can be best described as a suspenseful blend of slowed down DnB, Electro and jazzy early 70s movie soundtracks. Krypton8 is the darker tune here with Sci-fi pads and mysterious bleeps and noises. Krypton87 almost has a song structure with distorted lyrics on top (if you can make out what they say, the drinks are on us), mandolin (sic!), brass instruments and flutes and its overall vibe remind us a bit of early Yello recordings. We hope you enjoy these two beautiful pieces as much as we do.

Stretching out towards the Blue Mountains in the west of bustling Sydney, George Alhabel creates an "Omega Station". A seismic bass groove reverberates across plateau escarpments as heavy beat anchors the rhythmic scaffold. White-noise effects crash like waves onto the rocks below, as smooth pads and glistening synths create a momentary stillness before a powerful denouement extends over the sonic horizon. A frequent flyer over the Mango Alley airwaves finds Belarusian star soaring to new heights. Subtle references to "Omega Station" create a new variation that finds brilliance in new aural overtones through Michael A. Familiarly dark, a powerful force of nature rises out of bassline dominance and hypnotic rhythm.

Returning from "Astrona", ARTN presents a new vision of "Omega Station" from a land of rich history and geographical splendour. Cedar tree forests create a verdant canopy as swirling synths whistle through ancient branches to the white-capped peaks of Mount Lebanon. A pulsating bassline develops in familiar patterns as syncopated synth phrases exude class. A new icebreaker from Forty Cats reaches dizzying heights with a bouncing bassline and driving rhythmic force. Cascading melodic effects glisten over Mount Visokaya to provide new sonic focus for "Omega Station", pitching and wheeling in glissando power.

Ritchie Haydn returns to the label this time around in collaboration with famed vocalist Medusa. His last outing back in December of 2020 was received to high acclaim - with huge support from the big boy brigade at the time. With his long-awaited return to ICONYC Noir, Ritchie delivers a slice of late summer vibes titled 'Caught Up' featuring the wonderful vocals of Medusa.

Ritchie & Medusa kicks things off nicely with the melancholic moodiness of the original, as deep progressive inspired beats and harmonies are in full swing. The track twists effortlessly throughout, while Medusa's sultry vocals sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth. It's all about the groove, cool vibes and the suave beats that are working their magic around Ritchie's wonderfully arranged keys and Medusa's voice, that create an irresistible vibe while taking the mind on a trip. A classy homecoming for Ritchie and a wonderful debut for Medusa.

On remix duty we welcome once again Arnaud Cordova & Julian Liander who are known for their polished deep sound. They keep the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh - Their touch up takes the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove.

MXV, who needs no introduction around these shores created a rework full of tension from the word go. MXV delivers a trademark electronica-soaked rework with infectious chords, laidback drums and smooth breakdown. The stimulated vibe keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds thrown in for good measure. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff"

Surrrealism presents its compilation “Surrrealism Speechless I”

The label brings together some of the most revered producers alongside emerging young talents and releases a 6-track compilation of exquisite quality. The likes of Auggië, EdOne, Samer Soltane and Evans are joined by up-and-coming artists such as Abuk, Knoder and Liebig.

Auggië returns to Surrrealism in a big way with "Rollmade". A track in which the Italian shows off his mastery in creating heartbreaking sounds through a synthesizer. Mysterious fragments perched on an elegant and dynamic rhythm complete a piece of art at the height of the artist and the label.

Evans takes us on a ride with "Glass". With an unparalleled sonic beauty, the Briton signs a track of high carats. Progressive sounds intertwined with joyful melodies to lead you to aural orgasm.

EdOne opens the door to welcome an old acquaintance. Knoder is a legendary artist from the south of Spain who has always ridden on the back of broken beats. Bringing together his talents to craft a track that breaks down the tracks with a stunning beat and rain of LFOs shot aboard hopeful melodies to make every one of your senses vibrate.

Samer Soltan put the finishing touch to this tale with “T Rex”. As if it were a happy ending, you couldn't choose a better ending. Forcefulness and seriousness under a layer of tremendous elegance. PREMIERE: Dee Montero - Satori [Futurescope]

Operating out of his Rosario home, Mariano Favre returns to Particles after a 13-year absence. A renowned name with releases on the likes of Manual Music, Perspectives Digital and Lowbit, the Argentinean artist delivers twin original tracks in "Abundance Mindset", while remixes come from a pair of fellow countrymen.

"Abundance" is a flowing progressive gem with head-shaking percussive top-line, deep-lying bassline groove and heavy kick laying dynamic foundations. Building through its phrases, a rippling arpeggio adds synth joy as epic pads and ethereal vox create additional sonic layers. Building to a powerful crescendo, the track drops back into its vibrant cadence and evocative melodic phrasing to mesmerising effect. "Mindset" continues the angelic vocal phrasing of its partner track as a driving rhythmic framework keeps the intensity high. Soaring synth phrases, spine-tingling arpeggios and plucked strings add to the aural collage at the breakdown before a rising wave of sound heralds a second half filled with dancefloor prowess. Rising and falling ease the track keeps listener intrigue high while a pulsating finale ensures worldwide club support.

Another returning artist sees Matias Chilano continue where he left off with a fourth remix for the label. 2018 saw a trio of reworkings for K Nass, Pysh and Andre Sobota before the Córdoba resident graduated onto Proton Music with new interpretations of Huminal, Erdi Irmak and Sebastian Sellares in 2019 and 2020. Re-establishing himself on Particles, the Matias Chilano remix takes "Abundance" in a trademark direction full of rhythmic prowess and production knowhow. Taking the central melodic themes of the original, a hefty bass groove powers forwards while airy juxtaposed synths sit atop, steeped in emotion. Wrapped in a crisp new rhythmic shell, a familiar arpeggio and swathe of effects criss-cross the stereo spectrum to create a potent and accomplished new interpretation.

An Argentinean artist to come to the attention of the progressive house cognoscenti, Mayro has risen in prominence over the past 4 years. A prolific artist with releases on the likes of Perspectives Digital, Traful and Siona Records, his "Crazy Thoughts" EP in June 2022, with remixes from Kamilo Sanclemente and Blanka Barbara, saw him make an impressive Particles debut. Now returning, the Mayro remix of "Mindset" is a chunky rhythmic powerhouse that bristles with cavernous bassline and shaker-fuelled percussive intensity. Melodic echoes from the original resonate through the 7-minute piece as a swathe of new production material gives the Mayro interpretation a darker and more contemplative ambience as new melodic patterns swirl in mesmerising patterns throughout the second half.

Through a plethora of new sonic imaginings, Mariano Favre has created an "Abundance Mindset", ably supported by Matias Chilano and Mayro.
