With our upcoming MGF031 we are more than ready to start the new year which will also mark the 10th anniversary of Musik Gewinnt Freunde and there's no better way to begin this very special moment for our family than to present you this "Various Artists" EP that along with well known members as Cosmic Cowboys and the Mexican Leo Leal will introduce you to three new great additions to the team as the Canadian duo "In2Deep", the Germans Soukie & Windish and last but not least another talented artist coming from Venice as ARG.O to close this stunning pack that perfectly represent the idea behind our label and the sound we love to release in our productions.

Hailing from Montreal, In2Deep touch the listener with their beautiful track "One". Its silky textures and hypnotic sounds introduce this wonderful journey we’re proposing to you on this brand new release.

Next there are Soukie & Windish, the two label heads from URSL, who debut their amazing "Transformation" with Musik Gewinnt Freunde to lead us on a different path that will take us to a darker side, however, still perfectly melting with its deep and breathtaking harmonies.

As our label name says, what we love to do is to bring together people from all over the world through the music. So this is what happened with Cosmic Cowboys from Italy and Leo Leal who has recently joined the family as well. The guys' contribution to this pack was "Citrine", a track that expresses a great new perspective of sound. Nico and Kaled's love for a more epic build featuring several layers of sound completes the sexiness that is essential in Leo's sound – creating something new that we really love.

To sum up this new adventure, we are happy to have ARG.O's amazing track named "Black Vision" which is the right thing for dark winter nights. It'll simply catch you right from the beginning and won't let you down to the very last second.

Ace Tatsu was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, where his musical beginnings started to take form in the streets during the break dancing and freestyle era, and gravitated to the electronic dance music scene with a move to San Francisco, California in 1996, the city where his dj career began. A place so rich in culture and diversity. Soul and creativity oozing from every corner, and Intertwined and amplified so richly by its inhabitants through music. 
As San Francisco’s DJ culture erupted, Ace gained extensive exposure to other mixing styles ranging from Hip Hop and Mash ups to breaks, progressive house and Trance, experimenting with all. Eventually, Deep Sexy House Music was the style he became known for in which his most compelling influences were Miguel Migs, Mark Farina, Naked music and the Hed Kandi label. 
Having multiple year residencies at almost every upscale lounge in San Fransisco such as Nihon, Straits, SupperClub, Bambuddha, and Infusion Lounge, built his reputation for artistry and professionalism. 
 As time progressed Ace etched his footprint of sound all over San Francisco from the 2005 to 2010 years and held residencies at the most prestigious night clubs and events such as one of the longest running day parties in San Francisco: 2nd Sunday, the latest Upscale Nightclub, Infusion lounge and regular gigs at Vessel, Harlot, Temple and Mighty just to name a few. Playing at the same parties with Top Talent such as Nick Warren, Sultan, DJ Dan, Morgan Page, Doc Martin, D:Fuse, High Spies, Max Vangeli, Dj Colette, Dj RAp, and Lee coombs, just to name a few.  His sounds have been embraced as far off domestically as New York City, and Internationally throughout Eastern Europe, Austria, London, France and Australia. 
 A Tour in Europe 2010 with the Electronic Music act "FatMAgic", winners of various Hollywood music awards led to a move to Budapest, and a year of gigging with the infamous underground House music collective "Strictly". In the last couple of years the studio has been a second home for Ace, and his first productions have been acquired by some top notch electronic dance music labels such as Baroque Records UK, Quarterlife NYC, and USB Digital. These days his work is becoming more progressive, tech and underground, yet keeping the sexy, grooving vibe that it is known for. A recent collaboration with Eastern European Dj/Producer /label owner Shock Osugi lead to a summer album under the dj duo/producer moniker " Narcotic Ninja's". Budapest is now his home, and Europe his playground. Inspired by the nightlife of this European city, his sounds are ever evolving, and you can look forward to some new Productions with a fresh new vibe coming soon. Mobilee bosswoman readies her first EP of 2015, with the superb ‘Circle Culture’ EP. The three-track release includes a heady, hiplashing techno injection by Konstantin Sibold & Leif Müller, who impressed with last year’s ‘Kolibri’ on Cocoon.

To many observers Anja Schneider enjoyed arguably the finest year of her already impressive career in 2014; two stunning EPs, a hectic summer touring schedule that saw her more in demand than ever and that debut Essential Mix that still gets talked about in hushed tones.

This year hasn’t seen any sign of her slowing down however; the perpetual motion machine keeps creating, inspiring and pushing forward with all the passion of an artist very much at the peak of her career.

‘Circle Culture’ is a further expression of this and very much indicative of Anja’s creative purple patch, feeling as free as ever to pursue what’s in her head and heart whenever she goes into the studio.

Warm, dreamy and hypnotic, ‘Circle Culture’ has been an exquisite highlight of Anja’s set since being debuted last month, with its spine-tingling break sending collective shivers down the backs of dancefloor occupants – especially those with a penchant for late ‘90s techno vibes.

‘The Squaring’ has tension and release on lock, grabbing you with an exotic lick of melody that builds towards a crescendo as kicks and high hats are gradually added to the heady sonic brew. A tension-filled break gives way to a pounding techno pay-off making it a perfectly punchy compliment to the EP’s A-Side.
The release is capped off by a strong re-work of ‘Circle Culture’ from Konstantin Sibold & Leif Müller that injects a peak-time dose of techno into the original.

Fresh from his epic and celebratory ‘Focus On’ album, Daniel Dexter returns to Poker Flat with a bang. This release pulls together some blistering remixes of tracks that originally appeared on 'Focus On' - supplied by some of the hottest producers from the underground.

First up is Uner, the young Spaniard whose work on labels such as Cadenza has been turning heads of late. His remix of Dexter’s 'Why So Serious' is a bomb – driving Tech House with a big room feel that will be flipping dancefloors upside down for the rest of the summer.

David Keno also works some magic on 'Storm' – another stand out track from Dexter’s long player. Keno’s elegant touch with melody and rhythmic complexity takes 'Storm' in a new direction - resulting in a piece of music that works equally as a floor burner as it does in a listening context.

Kollektiv Turmstrasse have been building a unstoppable juggernaut of buzz over the past few years, and with their Blindbird remix of 'Birds', it’s easy to see why. The German duo pull out this devious slice of deep Electro/Techno that is as assured as it is weird - a true must have for the heads.

The legend that is Ian Pooley doesn’t disappoint with his version of 'Night Away feat. Geraldine Roth', taking the original and twisting it to his own brand of taut, focussed tech-house.

All four remixes are available via the 12inch from Poker Flat. Digital customers can also pick up the originals of each cut, split over two parts.

Kolors is not your average compilation; the project explores the individual visual perception of color and how that compares to the unique auditory experience of music.

The 15 contributing artists have all chosen a color to define the essence of their track. The selected colors expand the traditional spectrum with on-point specifics like ‘Matt Silver,’ ‘Lunar White’ and ‘Mint Green’. Regardless how many adjectives used, everyone will see these colors differently, and that is exactly the point! The experience of colors, like music, is subjective.

The project’s rich concept adds layered depth and gives listeners an expanded auditory experience. The colors are well considered and one hears the artistic intention behind the labeling.

In a profoundly personal, artistic revelation artists also provided the reasoning behind their selection, evoking instant imagery and placing listeners in the mind of the musician. Of their track, ‘Lunar White’, John Charnis & Jimmy Maheras said, “When we wrote the song the melodies reminded us of the moments in a dark dance floor where people's faces were illuminated, whether by strobe lights and lasers, or the glow of the moon in an outdoor party.” That visual association becomes abundantly clear when one listens to the corresponding music. On ‘Fuchsia’ Dance Spirit say, “’Fuchsia’ is the color of universal harmony and emotional balance and helps to create harmony and balance in every aspect of life. That is what we are trying to attain through the message of this song, and our music in general.”

The album takes listeners on an oculauditory journey through time and space; from Julien Chaptal’s lush and peaceful ‘Orange’ to Doomwork’s moody and introspective ‘Midnight Blue’, the LP tells a story. Kolors features seasoned Supernature artists like Den Ishu (who also releases under Desolat and Noir), Carlos Sanchez (a young gun, blazing the industry by storm, receiving praise from industry veterans like Danny Tanaglia and Richie Hawtin) and Audiofly to name a few- but true to their standard the label focuses on emerging talent. Affirming the strength of the label’s talent pool, even the new family members deliver auditory joy in epic proportions.

New to the imprint, Balcazar & Sordo’s “Blue”, is pure tantric! The track demonstrates beautiful restraint, true energy control, feeding one deep, groovy bass line after another in perfect cadence. On the duo Maceo Plex has been quoted saying, ‘These guys are very close to writing a big hit, I can tell”. Well if they haven’t already this is probably the one. Expect to hear it across dance floors this summer.

This album invites you to experience music differently from everybody else, on your own personal terms, based on your own vision. Art is subjective, what you see may not be what I see, and that is the beauty of it. So sit back, and give it a listen... or 10, stroke your chin and ponder deeply. Unlike most dance albums, or label for that matter, Supernature and Kolors wants you to do more than dance, they want you to think and feel and groove - they want you to experience music on a whole new level.

In the beginning were friendship and the love for music. Musik Gewinnt Freunde was born out of this. Nico Plagemann and Christian Hilscher, also known as Kollektiv Turmstrasse, started the label in 2006 and though they didn’t really know where it would go, the project took shape and kept spreading until today. The labels’ name is still its philosophy. Musik Gewinnt Freunde connects people who share a deep love for electronic music. It brings friends together and it makes new ones. Beeing inspired by the people around it, its’ sound is like a summer rain. Warm and melodic, bright and yet a little longing. It tells the things that remain unspoken. Listen with your heart.
