DDR featuring the @plainsailingbelfast crew! Very buzzed to welcome them on the show! They have no doubt played a pivotal role in cultivating a thriving scene across Belfast built on collaboration, discussion and sharing new ideas. Their initial focus of bringing unique and original event ideas to the scene has now grown into a full online webspace (plainsailing.live) where interviews, mixes, and features all combine to shine on a light on a bubbling scene around Belfast. This evolution of Plain Sailing has shared its sound in techno and dub, to grime and hip hop.

Fusing these styles and genres does not stop at the conversation but goes right into their own artistic output as DJ's. Taking influence from sounds in uk bass, grime, hip hop, and techno, Plain Sailing showcase an always thoughtful blend with notable features for Mixmag, feelmybicep, and refuge worldwide which can be found on their soundcloud. For tonight's show they stretch the bpm between 80/160 and stir selections from DJ Swagger, New Members, Novelist, and Laughing Ears!

Putting the bass in Berlin based, Ophelie stacks low end sounds, rhythmic drums, and emotive melodies to build mixes full of twists and turns. Ophelie shares this sound monthly across her refuge worldwide residency featuring guests like DJ Plead, Acid finky and dj fart in the club. Aptly titled Therapy Dog, the show nurtures friendships near and far with back to back mixing and in studio features. By night, you might find Ophelie sharing lineups across the city in venues like Oxi Club and Rso and more recently landing shows further afield in cities like Leipzig and London.

Thrilled to be welcoming @feargaloconnell on to the show.

Over recent years Feargal has launched a mix series, club night all while carving out his own name as a performing artist. The Fuaim series first served as an online space for many local and international DJs in limbo, waiting for venues to reopen. With features from DJs like Spray, Siofra, hewan aman, and eoin dj, the series gave a first look at what was to come with the Dublin based collective. Since then, Fuaim has launched sold out shows in venues across Dublin including Tengu and Bernard Shaw. More recently they have taken to DDR to share a monthly show with mix from founders and friends. 

Online Feargal's own contributions include features for Area 3000 Radio, Solace Space, always premiering a club ready sound fusing elements of trance, tech house, prog and techno.

New music from zara, ahadadream, Otil, amuwa, 12moons, L.S.G, Box of Frox, Arkajo and more.

Very glad to be welcoming Frank Grimes on to the show

Niall has been collaborating and contributing to Dublin's nightlife for a number of years, most notably playing an important role with Dublin modular. 

The collective embraces upcoming artists from different mediums of music and visual arts as well as developing unique events in venues like Pallas Studios and The Complex.

Alongside this, they run workshops for music production and djing of which Niall has shared his wealth of knowledge 

Under his alias frank grimes, Niall has shared music on Soundcloud and Bandcamp fusing elements of jungle, breaks and bass and sample based cuts.

This Friday as part of Culture Night you can catch Frank Grimes at meeting house square temple bar alongside Dublin modular djs

Lots of music to share this evening with artists like escape artist, emeka ogboh, small crab, salamanda, mogambo, and soso tharpa.

So thrilled to welcome @tomu-dj on as this month's guest.
California based Tomu is a multi talented songwriter and music producer with 2 full length albums and many more eps on Bandcamp. Of recent note, a project called Half Moon Bay with 8 tracks exploring styles of ambience, downtempo, and experimental. Over the years I have listened a lot and played some tracks on DDR too, so it is really exciting to welcome tomu dj on to the series!

To start the show, I have put together 30 mins of downtempo and ambience from artists like batu, dj python, ngoni egan, salamanda, mike midnight and more.

Brooklyn-based, Donnchadh has been finely tuning his blends and picks in the esteemed lot radio booth alongside IT while also creating a new series of exciting parties called Twist across the borough. The series calls home to mood ring and other favoured local haunts with past additions welcoming artists such as sobolik , PF, yibing , so , and dj healthy. Bass heavy, breaks, and UKG adjacent sounds, sees the night tackle the intimacy of a venue with the intensity of a kick drum. The results most often, are a memorable affair!

A healthy open ear cultivated attending under 18s raves and listening to and playing on local pirate stations as a teen in the 1990s has sharpened his sonic palette.

He is offering a mix with tracks that mostly came out this summer, which he listened to during his vacation road trips, along with a few more energetic tracks that he had planned to play at Sachô.
