Revelation of Sound is pleased to present CTAFAD. Electronic musician and guitarist, Sun Dawei is a very active composer in China. He started learning guitar at the age of fourteen, and later formed a punk band, which became the catalyst for him to open the door to music. Settled in Beijing in 1999, then began research and creation of electronic music, and at the same time began to dabble in Fashion Show, film, drama and commercial soundtrack work. After several transformations, in order to explore different music spaces.
He announced a new musician project - CTAFAD. In 2020, "Vertical Horizontal" was published on "Shanshui Music". In this album, you can hear "the original sound without too much modification, the sense of space like the atmosphere, and the ambitious ultrasonic experiment. In the end, an epic The core sound field has been carefully polished. The rhythm and bass line are proficient in interaction from the beginning, gradually unfolding and never extinguishing." In the subsequent release of "Vertical Horizontal Extended" and other EP albums, CTAFAD invited Claudio PRC, Blazej Malinowski, Atomic Moog, Polygonia, Laertes and IORI participated in the remix of the album.

A new music-making journey is driven by inner passion and exploration, collaboration anddevelopment. Slowly began to emerge in many foreign Techno labels. Such as: Sungate, Indefinite Pitch, Oslated, Intersum, Black Chrysalis Archives and KitchenSync. At the same time, he also created a new music label "GSXS" - mind in thought, full vision.

In this particular playlist we are presenting different shapes of Dub Techno. Therefore we reached out to our friends and Guest DJs to record and create a set for you.

Artist Bio:
Emesh led by Antonio Muñoz is a master in creative music production across electronic, ambient, slow trance, idm and dub. He comes from the beautiful region of La Alcarria in Spain. Since 2013 on Sendero Records, he has been delivering a quite diverse range of sound to the listener, sometimes danceable, sometimes calming, more metallic, more organic, and always inspiring. Antonio is both, a musician and therapist. His musical influences owe much to the pop and electronics of the 80s when he started working as resident Dj at Deadly club in Brihuega (Guadalajara-Spain) about 9 years. From there he went to Madrid to do Dj sets with his aka Dujay in various popular nightspots of the capital like the Circulo de Bellas Artes, Mondo and Maxime between others, in addition in the early 2000s he is the founder of the underground parties Darkbeat, programming deep trance and progressive house, pioneers in the city. Working with these sounds allowed him to warm up James Holden the first time he visited Spain in 2003. Evolving his skills, he delved into music production, mastering various instruments and exploring sound therapy rooted in shamanic practices. Antonio gives regular sound therapy sessions and journeys using his Tibetan Singing Bowls, Shamanic Drum and other ancient instruments. His talent has been recognized on a global stage, with his track featured at the London Music Conference in 2020 playing a set at fabric@london. This global recognition is a testament to his skill and creativity. Currently, he's immersed in his studio, Elul, recently completing an indie electronic EP with Miss Zagato, and recent releases on Initiate Rec., Piranha Siberia Dub, Blue Lotus and Something Spæcial label. This week's Full Moon is in the optimistic sign of Sagittarius. Typical Sagittarius themes are enthusiasm, expansion, philosophy, travel; everything is about enlarging. Expanding your knowledge, your dreams, your opportunities, your experiences. And the Sagittarius does all this with a philosophical edge. This sign is looking for the deeper meaning behind everything that happens. 

That all sounds positive, but then there is the influence of Gemini (the sign the sun is in) that can make these days just a little more difficult. Sagittarius and Gemini are true opposites. Where Sagittarius philosophizes about the (distant) future, Gemini is present in the here and now.

As a result, you may find yourself in a kind of inner conflict. What do I want to focus on? Is that on the here and now?

Last week's Full Moon in Capricorn puts the focus on the future. As a matter of course, you are working on the goals you want to achieve. You feel that you shouldn't sit back now, but want to get to work. This has everything to do with the influence of the sign of Capricorn. Capricorn has a strong need for security. This sign is always working toward goals, ultimately creating a stable, secure situation for itself. 

Although Capricorn and Cancer (the sign in which the sun is) are opposites, they are both focused on security and safety. This expresses itself in different ways. Capricorn cares about a good reputation and is willing to work hard to get it. It is not surprising if Capricorn spends a lot of time in the workplace or in the (home) office. Welcome to our podcast, this time we bring you a Great Spanish artist, DJ / Producer based in La Alcarria Spain.

Emesh/AMS is the project of Antonio Muñoz where he unleashes his creativity in the music production of different genres: electronic, ambient, slow trance, idm.

Antonio is both a musician and therapist. His musical influences owe much to the pop and electronics of the 80s when he started working as resident Dj at Deadly club in Brihuega (Guadalajara-Spain) about 9 years. From there he went to Madrid to do Dj sets in various popular nightspots of the capital like the Circulo de Bellas Artes, Mondo and Maxime between others. At the same time he recorded his firsts own tracks and remixes under the name of Dujay. Since then he has consistently been developing his musical interest attending courses and workshops on music production and learning to play many different instruments such as the piano, flute, oriental percussion, tabla, frame drum, congas and guitar. He also has an interest in shamanism and has learned techniques from various ancient cultures to work with sound for therapeutic purposes. Antonio gives regular sound therapy sessions and concerts using his Tibetan Singing Bowls, Shamanic Drum and other ancient instruments. In 2020 one of his tracks has been chosen to enter the program of the London Music Conference and has been invited by the organizers to play a set at the Fabric of London.

The name AMS has several meanings; the initials of Antonio Muñoz Sound, his blog «Armonia del Sonido» and according to the Sefer Yetzirah, the book of creation, AMS «the three mothers, Aleph, Mem and Sin. Great mystery, wonderful and a cult, from where air, water and fire come from, with which all is born.

This week we present you a special mix with a special spirit.

We're excited to celebrate our first birthday with you. To make this day standout, the three founders of the label, three figures of the scene have come together in a triune something to record a celebratory mix and wish the whole community a happy birthday!

We were together for the whole year. We created new music. We made new acquaintances. We produced and listened to the music. We invited interesting people to our community, and we didn't refuse to become a part of the big music world. 

Lots of events happened during the year - together with our artists we released 9 tracks in 2 compilations, reached top-charts in Germany, published 52 guest mixes, presented our music to 5 different venues at live shows, released 4 of our own tracks on other labels.

And all this was done with a great love for the process itself.

Tomorrow the founding trio of Disco Pastors will drop a birthday surprise for the whole community – stay tuned!
