Scuffed Recordings line up the sixth instalment of their Scuffed Presents series, with four artists from the Scuffed roster stepping up to remix tracks from the label catalogue.

The Scuffed Presents remix compilations have become an annual tradition for the Scuffed schedule each summer, with previous remixes coming from the likes of Nikki Nair, Marshall Applewhite, Stones Taro, and label founders Ian DPM and Wager.

On 2021’s edition of the series, the label welcomes Farsight, Fiesta Soundsystem, Dubrunner, and An Avrin to put their spin on their favourite Scuffed tracks – resulting in a fresh and wide-reaching mix of sounds.

Closing out the release is Londoner @4navr1n, whose wonky, idiosyncratic style is on show all over his remix of Dubrunner’s ‘Destination Unknown’.

New Delhi-based producer @mutablemercury brings his first EP, Lost In Chaos, to Scuffed Recordings.

Mutable Mercury is the solo project from Mukul Juneja, who first appeared on London-based label Scuffed in 2022 with his single Vexation.

Now returning with a three-track EP, ‘Lost in Chaos’ sees Mutable Mercury further building on the sound he has been developing on his past releases with labels like Reality Club and Shubzin - leaning heavily on electro, techno and dubstep influences with a heavy focus on percussion and bass weight.

Opening with the title track, Mutable Mercury establishes his sonic palette from the outset, with driving, high-energy drum work alongside staccato vocal chops.

8Bit Nasty dials back on the tempo, putting the spotlight on a glitchy, warping bassline.

The release culminates with Take Blue In, the skippiest track of the release which draws equally from breaks, electro, and 2-step UKG.
