Mountain Range - Untouchable

The premiere signing on Local Suicides newly founded label Iptamenos Discos is Austrian band Wiener Planquadrat. Consisting of Michael Weiler, former member of Burnin Tears (Luv Shack), and Maximilian Atteneder from bands such as Catastrophe & Cure.

Their single release entitled ‘Stillstand’ is the first ever from the duo with the promise of more to come via Iptamenos Discos. This feel good disco vibes track is built on punchy drums and catchy bass lines that channel the legendary spirit of the 90s Downbeat sound of Vienna. The uplifting flow of the song mixed with playful elements and analogue sounds blend beautifully while austropop-esque vocals float over the top. The lyrics describe a journey from the mountains to the sea and paints the picture that one is driving their convertible with the top down and as the sun shines and lush melodies fill the fresh coastal air.

The single includes a remix by Rising Seed which is the project of Lee Stevens (one of the founders of Luv Shack label) and musician Martin Arnold. Incorporating flutes & 80’s house piano this lively rework is all about letting the good times roll and would be the perfect soundtrack to a tropical beach party that goes until sunrise.

The single will be released with a short edit and a full length club version of the original and the remix on a strictly-limited clear Dubplate 12” and made available digitally on all platforms.

A collaboration of mysterious Manchester producer Echium and KMRU. Joseph Kamaru, aka KMRU, is a sound artist and experimental ambient musician, raised in Nairobi, Kenya, and currently based in Berlin where he is a Master’s student in Sound Studies and Sonic Arts at the Universität der Künste. His works deal with discourses of field recording, improvisation, noise, ambient, machine learning, radio art and expansive hypnotic drones.

Nhar is channeling deep and atmospheric music since 2004 and releasing his records on many labels like Seven Villas, Azzur, Feines Tier ...  He is using a smart mix of analog and digital production techniques.
The title track Oscillation Control is revolving around a classic electro beat, analogic sounds methodically and steadily evolving to some higher state of dreaming epicness, spectral and harmonised vocals adding a touch of humanity to the whole.

For his fifth EP released by SABI, Italian dj/producer A-Tweed based in Rome delivers a weird deep downtempo work mixturing organic samples with odd synthesizer soundscapes.
FM digital modulation and tribal percussions are the main characters of the first track "Maguro Katsu" (his favourite Japanese recipe) that can rely also on a magic modular remix by Brazilian wizard Carrot Green.
"Sick Sick Phase" is the second track that will bring you in a noisy downtempo mood between drones and wild analog modulations. Just really sick!
The third namesake track "Cyanobacteria" is a wild representation of the appearance of life on the planet earth due to the oxidation revolution 2450 millions years ago. Tribal organic sounds meet a powerful "sample & hold" melody and sub bass.
This track is remixed by talented japanese producer Mamazu, head honcho of SABI.
