Jay Hill steps up to the plate with her latest EP 'Shine' on People of the Light Records. This two-track offering showcases Jay's deep and hypnotic production style, drawing influences from the dubby techno of Berlin and the acid-tinged sounds of Radio Slave and Steve Bug.
The EP opens with 'Tête-à-Tête', a track that was written a while ago and was even featured in a short film called Exposures. This deep and driving cut is a true standout, with its mesmerizing rhythms and haunting atmospheres that will keep you captivated from start to finish. The track was mastered by none other than Jay Tripwire.
On the flip, the EP's title track, 'Shine', takes us deeper into Jay Hill's world of dubby techno, with its driving beats and intricate sound design. This track was mastered by Josh Butler.
