LATIDO records has its origin in the Mordisco Club parties (Granada, South of Spain) hosted by Cobertizo (part of dj duo and producers Mordisco with releases in Atomnation, My Favorite Robots Records, Duro, Bedrocks, etc.). Artists such as John Talabot, Curses, Sascha Funke, Zombies in Miami, Red Axes or Jennifer Cardini among others have played at Mordisco Club. The Latido label is born from the characteristic sounds and influences of Mordisco Club 

LATIDO celebrates its first anniversary with a compilation full of singularities. 16 tracks gathered in two volumes where the distinctive feature is the presence of multiple ingredients that are provided by the included artists. 

After a successful volume 1, with volume 2 LATIDO culminates the celebration of its first anniversary in an unbeatable way. Some of the included artists are already part of the LATIDO family, having released music on the label during its first year of life (Agle, Eliezer, Ivan De la Rouch, JackWasFaster and Tiempo de Maldad). Other artists join LATIDO for the first time, offering their own particular point of view on electronic dance music (Andrea Tempo, Azaria, Disco Mortale and Julian Stetter). 

Once again, very varied musical ingredients can be relished, and where lovers of sound cocktails that include techno, new wave, disco, EBM and house will enjoy it tremendously. Here the premiere of "Chaka” an amazing track from Azaria & Ivan De la Rouch.

Techno legend Josh Wink lands on DCLTD for the first time. The three-tracker 'Mind's Eye' presents a collection of cuts fit for purpose, as deep pummelling rhythms are teased out over a trio of moods. The title track is spitfire acid techno that reveals itself over an eight minute journey with a brain-scrambling vocal adding plenty of character along the way. 'Caterwaul' is a dynamic, shuffling tool and vintage Wink. The pack includes an 'Acid Acapella' taken from the title track.

Ackerman's debut EP on Play Pal opens with the high-octane title track, "More & Faster"—a dynamic mix of mid-paced percussion, syncopated arpeggios, robotic vocals, and sharp snares.
Next up is "Time Machine," a moody, synth-driven track that offers psychedelic dark grooves, punctuated by stuttering vocals and 303s.
Meanwhile, "Can We Rewind Time" stomps forward with a heavy bassline and pulsating sound waves, building to a fiery climax.
Adding depth to the release are label friends and frequent Play Pal contributors Mufti, Leonor and TYU, each bringing their unique stamps to the originals.
Mufti’s rework of "More & Faster" strips back the original, retaining the hypnotic mantra, while adding new layered synth lines that heighten the tension throughout the track.
Leonor’s darker take on "Time Machine" introduces a menacing funk, complete with a tempo-slowing breakdown before the latin vocal (a personal addition of his), kicks back in with force.
TYU rounds off Ackerman's kinetic collection with his signature blend of percussive acid bubbling, congas, and 303s, delivering an electrifying finish to the EP.

Canada’s dub maestro Deadbeat makes a welcome return to Echocord to round out the year with his ‘Pressure Double Down’ EP, comprised of three original cuts.
Adopted Montrealer, Scott Montieth aka Deadbeat has been at the forefront of dub tinged Techno and Minimal leaning sounds since the turn of the millennium, racking up albums on the beloved Pole helmed ~scape in the early 2000’s before going on to
run his own label BLKRTZ where he regularly release material, as well as further releases on imprints such as Wagon Repair and of course Echocord, where he returns here with his latest collection of works.
‘Too Much Pressure’ leads the EP, a fifteen minute excursion through intricate percussion, choppy, dubbed out stab sequences and psychedelic vocals all infused with Deadbeat’s signature subtly unfurling flair and nuanced dynamism.
‘Double Bubble’ follows and lays down an amalgamation of delicately intertwined chord melodies, sub bass tones spiralling echoes and a crunchy analogue rhythm section. ‘Rattle The Roof Down’ then concludes the EP on a more minimal tinged tip, bringing a heavy low-end dub reggae bass groove to the front while spacey
percussive delays and murky swells ebb and flow throughout the hypnotic groove.

VOSK, meaning wax in the Russian language, is the brainchild of Andrey Ter-Grigorian
who is now launching the label with an EP under his own alias, Mawn Lower. The EP
explores themes of emerging from a concealed, invisible state and being “caught” in action
so to speak and saying “Yeah, I’m here, I’m doing this thing”. The cover photo was shot on
Jackson Street Bridge in Atlanta, a very popular touristic spot. It’s symbolic in that Mawn
Lower’s current home, Atlanta, is of the of the most monitored cities in America with
60,864 cameras for 490,270 people. A couple of the tracks date back at least 10 years and
some more recent, all were made with a combination of Ableton and hardware gear like
the SH-101, MPC, a Casio FZ–10M sampler and some outboard FX.
A1 ‘Dusty’ perfectly sets the tone as Mawn Lower lays down a crisp saturated rhythm
section alongside sweeping filtered pads, bright stab sequences and choppy vocals.
Following is ‘Fair Fight’ which then leans into dub territory courtesy of more reduced
drums, spiralling echoes and subtly unfurling atmospherics.
Opening the flip side is ‘Fine Print’, an ethereal slice of deep house fuelled by processed
vocal loops, airy Rhodes melodies and swinging percussion. ‘Cleansing Lounge’ then
rounds out the release and once again shifts sonically towards off-kilter 808 drums,
dreamy textures and squelchy acid bass.

Discodrama is a shimmering, vocoder-laced fusion of French elegance and Italo Disco nostalgia. Cinematic and emotional, it channels mirrorball melancholy through analog synths, romantic chords, and tight, crispy drums.
A dreamlike slow-burn, this is retro-futurist funk for heartbroken robots and late-night lovers, where drama meets desire under dimmed lights.

Barcelona-based record label Adepta unveil ‘Sleek Vibra’, a dystopian missive from Rome-based producer Alessandro Gramaccioni, operating under the cryptonym AFM...Our pick, ‘Kamui Effect’, opens with a scrambled polyphony of laser-guided distress signals and shortwave interference, as if intercepted from a rogue satellite in psychic orbit. What follows is a hyperventilated stutter of metallic percussions and spasmodic low-end sequences, sound architecture for dancefloors warped by fever dreams. A harp flickers in and out like a ghost in the circuitry, while distant male voices echo through steel ducts. Nervous and high-functioning, it feels like an artefact from a club night that never ended, or perhaps never began. DJ Koze exists both above and beyond club culture as we know it – his albums and remixes flying free from genre and trend – and symbiotically woven into its heart. Yes, he always abstracts and weirds out the principles of house, techno, hip hop, pop, psychedelia, exotica and so forth, but he does that because he understands them. And when it comes to club-demolishing tracks, he understands those principles as well as just about anybody on earth.

Thus he could create an enduring club tune like 2015's “XTC” that is strange, contemplative, even disturbing, bore little relation to anything around at the time, yet still got bodies moving and sweating better than way more obvious techno bangers. And thus the knock knock album, which melts a million genres and none into one another, can comfortably include “Seeing Aliens”.

“Seeing Aliens” unquestionably is a banger, its bass riff snaking around your body like a python, its high-drama strings, pianos and outbursts of noise designed for maximum crowd pressure release. But, again, it sounds like nothing else, and its dynamics and twists unfold over eight and a half minutes in ways that will mess with your head every time no matter how many times you hear it.

The exclusive b-side track, “Nein König Nein” (“No King No”!), meanwhile, is slightly gentler on the face of it: it's less about sonic pressure, more about hip-shaking syncopation. But it too tells strange fairytales in its peculiar and brain-tweaking accumulation of detail, and though you'll hear archetypal sounds from the heart of house and disco in it, every last one of them becomes new and otherworldly.
