Returning to the Ransom Note Records offshoot, Insult To Injury boss Timothy Clerkin presents four prime cuts of rave meatiness for our ravenous consumption. Showing off his chops, Timothy’s distinctive Acid sound collides head on with Jungle and Breakbeat elements, put through the mincer to form an EP of epic dance floor destroyers.
Our choice here felt to Tour de Trance which takes the tempo down a notch, whilst revving up the Hands-In-The-Air-O-Meter! Big, analogue synths build throughout, sweeping us up and taking us to a place of pure ecstasy by the end.

After releasing the banger “Keep It Strong” one year ago, Patricio Diaz is back with his very first release.

The eponym track “Nights Lights” is a pure track mixing Trance and Italo influences.
An ode to gathering and smiling on the dancefloor.

“Walking At Dawn”, always with a trance touch, a little faster, is the perfect track to let you go. By the way, the track groove seems straight out of a 80s road movie.
 
ROTCIV signs here a mental, dark, almost disturbing remix.
But faithful to its origins, he brings an undeniable disco side too.
A transcendental music for the robots !

To close the strong release, Theo Scuera brings to “Night Lights” a more progressive 90s touch. Music to be experienced only by tapping your feet loudly and jumping on the dancefloor.

Meet Stipa – a moniker and a concept, created by Ukrainian musician Daria Maksymova. Daria has been around in music production for many years – though focusing on darker sound. However, when life itself became too dark, with the ongoing full-scale invasion to Ukraine happening, it was time to turn around and capture the opposite mood. 

That’s how Stipa was created, and that’s why the EP sounds the way it does. The creative process was always for Daria a coping mechanism: a way to escape reality and find a better place. Naturally, this way it’s possible to capture the moment, the feeling, a place, a certain experience forever and share it with those in need – like people of Ukraine, who struggle to find an escape from everyday wearies of war.

The EP is three original tracks toying with funk, disco and house genres, where Stipa showcasing her excellent producer’s skills and unique vision of melodies and song structures. The EP feels like a child of sun and summer and designed for recreating purposes – or for DJs summer sets on cozy patios while there’s a sunset in the background. To extend the pleasure, we invited two Ukrainian producers – Kadiristy & Rustam to make sure there’s a remix to anyone’s taste: from smooth deep house to groovy electro funk.

Daria shares more about the creation process: “I need a Ukrainian soundscape that makes me feel good. Listening to the world heritage of great disco and funky music is a pleasure, but it feels like visiting a friend's house. I wanted to build the room of my dreams at home – an imaginary soundscape where Mariia Prymachenko’s weird creatures could dance without feeling like foreigners.
My favourite part of parties has always been the morning. When the sun rises, glitter shines on smiling faces, and a sense of belonging and acceptance fills the air. It’s a fleeting moment of unconditional love, something so rare in life. 
I named this EP “Unconditional Love” as a reminder to myself and others to love the people around us while we are together – Любіть живих”.

Daria’s track was the one to open the label's first ever release. Now the exciting appearance of Stipa among other Regulardisco releases adds variety to Ukrainian music to be showcased here among upcoming years.

Unreleased music themes by composer Kornelije Kovac for XIV Winter Olympic Games Sarajevo 1984 will be released in September for Fox & His Friends Records, joining the anniversary celebrations of one of the most remembered sports games in its history. Originally made for commissioned documentary advertising short Report from Sarajevo, directed by Miodrag Zdravkovic in 1982, these music themes are Kornelije Kovac’s first sessions that precede the official songs, idents and audio logos he composed for the XIV Winter Olympic Games opening ceremony. 
Sessions started in 1982 and lasted till 1984 when Kornelije Kovac in his Belgrade based studio created songs that firstly followed Sarajevo’s preparation for the games, transforming the town into international meeting place, right up to the end of the games with closing hit song “It was nice in Sarajevo, see you in Calgary”.   
XIV Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo 1984 had immeasurable status in the history of Yugoslavia and is widely recognized by organizing committee to be the best in recent history of the Games. However, they were also the pop-culture melting pot of the times, with posters by Andy Warhol and famed local designers and the music by Kornelije Kovac, leading the selected best-of-the-best composers of the times. Zoran Hristic, Nikica Kalogjera, Frano Parac and Slobodan A. Kovacevic were also among the engaged authors.  
The recordings on the release Report from Sarajevo (XIV Winter Olympic Games 1984) share the same musical approach to melody and structure Kornelije Kovac (1942 - 2022) was using at the beginning and the mid of 1980s: while exploring the possibilities of synthesizer, fresh from his collaborations in London with famed composer Hans Zimmer, and almost a decade since he shared Eurovision Song Contest stage with ABBA in Brighton with his Korni grupa. He also collaborated with Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake), Paul Jones (Manfred Mann) and Andy Pask (Landscape) among others. Kornelije Kovac always insisted on the freshness of the harmony layers combined with club friendly rhythm track. 
With the warm analogue feel that resonates in today's digital world this was chosen for a purpose to be an old-school 12'' maxi-single, as it was intended to be, cut deeply for the sakes of all lost and existing discotheques in Sarajevo and all over the world. Sourced from the original master tapes with full color artwork by Eric Adrian Lee, Report from Sarajevo includes special insert with photographs from Kornelije Kovac’s private collection and liner notes by Zeljko Luketic. Distributed by Clone NL, Light In The Attic USA and Believe SAS.

Moscow based artist Pad Union presents the release “Skazki Na Noch”, an atmospheric Lo-Fi House EP inviting listeners into a world of imagination. Vibrations and frequencies of Chicago, Detroit and West London permeate “IF IT AINT DEEP,” the new 6 track mini-LP from Ric Miranda. The tracks, created in the first two weeks of 2024, make for deep, late-night listening. They range in style, touching on Detroit Techno, Broken Beat, and Deep House - all musical movements that have influenced Ric’s musical journey. The title came about because of the rigidity of the sub genre category that Ric’s records are always placed in at record stores.
“IF IT AINT DEEP” is the 18th vinyl release on Noble Square Recordings.
“No Desires” features Roland drum sounds against a wash of synth chords and a rubbery lead and was created as a musical work out.
“Lost Skills” was also created as an exercise of sonic frustration and features a hollow arpeggiated lead over dirty chords and a low slung bassline. “If It Aint Deep” takes things a bit deeper with a feeling of late night scenes of passing lights and nostalgic memories of the future. “Day 2 Forget” is a more funky style that contains vibrations of both Chicago and Detroit. “Josette” is another fusion composition with layers of Latin rhythms, epic strings and atmospheric sounds.
“Vibe Conduit” completes the “IF IT AINT DEEP” mini LP with broken beats, crashes, splashes and a deep dub bass.
