It's been more than a year since we introduce Florin Büchel at MM Discos, we find fascinating the way the Swiss producer squeezes his analogue machines in order to create amazing landscapes that can easily vary from downtempo to darker territories.

Florin Büchel lands in "Saturn" and for the occasion we've rescued this old material that has been stored for many years, 3 (almost forgotten) tracks produced back in 2010 where Zurich's best kept secret propose a synthetic-intergalactic-journey. Pure underground quality for your ears where vocoders, analog synths and drum boxes play around in order to build a time capsule that travels straight to the 80's subculture.

Another MM Saturn's chapter that keeps exploring the borders of the galaxy, captain Büchel at the controls of the spacecraft on our endless journey towards new horizons.

It’s been nine years since Antoni Maiovvi released Trauma on Bordello A Parigi. Since then and before, the Bristol-born artisan has been honing and refining his audio craft with explorations into electronics, soundtracks and rock. Now, in his latest musical incarnation, Maiovvi returns with Birds of Paradise. This avian-themed four-tracker is beyond anything you’ve heard from this synthesizer wizard. Complex, deep and layered, the EP is testament to a talent rarely heard. From the sheer elation of “Flycatcher”, which pivots and weaves, the listener is taken away. Throbbing rhythms and astral melodies are unfurled, arpeggios rumble as key scale ever higher in the heady notes of “Widowbird”. A steady kick is the morning song of “Streamertail”, warm computer tones scudding next chords that trill with optimism. Birdsong, a feature of the EP, is ever present in this agile and textured close. Drawing on his predilection for movie scores, “Quetzal” completes this feathered foray. Pulsating drums offer the updraft for a spread of sounds and shapes to takes to the wing. A unique record from an artist soaring to ever greater heights.

Rude Audio (aka Mark Ratcliff) and Dan Wainwright, from South London and North Wales respectively, have paired their creative energies to create Psychedelic Science, an eight track dub excursion with its sights set on the feet and the head and on the home and the club.
Dan and Mark have backgrounds in electronic dance music which has in the past pricked the ears, radio shows and playlists of the likes of Don Letts, Justin Robertson and the much missed Andrew Weatherall.
They are joined on their trip by friends such as the legendary driver of Ken Kesey’s Magic Bus, counter – culture legend Ken Babbs, who at the age of 84 provides a showstopping vocal for a ten minute, psychedelic dub cover of Bowie’s ‘Heroes’.
Elsewhere Dan and Mark find the dub spirit and take it to places new: the sweet bassline led, sci fi splendour of Fire On The Mountain; El Qasr’s off kilter dynamics and bottom end rumble; Talking To The Sun’s heliocentric spaced out sounds, with the spirit of Lord Sabre finding its way in.
There’s no escaping the other influences at work here- mycological and herbal as well as musical. At the end, the pair hit the psychedelic dub motherlode with an eighteen-minute exploration of space and sound in the shape of the epic, chilled, progressive Patience Dub (A Prog Odyssey) which is the sum of the sounds and experiences of Rude Audio and Dan Wainwright, all percolating in one expansive trip.

We were joined by Ken Kesey's right hand man on the Acid Test, Ken Babbs and psychedelic and spiritual guru, Mr Ram Dass, for part of the trip"

Cisky (CSK) half of Dog.ma , is an Italian producer and dj since 1991. His first label was the M.C.E. , italian rec company of House and Techno of early 90s runned by S.Cundari ; other labels in the 90s were 'Who's Di Selecta?’ and UMD / Dig It International / Asterisk Rec / D:Vision Records (Energy) / Sound Division (Molto Rec.) and others. Djing since 1987 in historical clubs of northern Italy ,in 2006 Csk founded the Dog.ma project (432HZ) with Paolo Soncini. Then in 2013 started with csk:beat label and in 2017 with Dogmatraxxx (for dog.ma prods and selection).

Massimiliano Pagliara pays tribute to Manuel Göttsching in his first solo EP on his very own Funnuvojere Records, 'All the VCOs You Can Eat'. 

As a devoted fan of Göttsching's groundbreaking work, Pagliara draws inspiration from his musical hero, crafting a mesmerizing EP that encapsulates the spirit and innovation of Göttsching's influential sound. The release comprises three different interpretations of the same track, each imbued with exceptional artistry and technical knowledge. 

The ceaselessly rolling piano chords in A1 Modulator Mix and B1 Traveler Dub are clear reminders of Göttsching’s E2E4 famous hypnotic refrain. The slight tonal variations, the stretched-out acid line and the uplifting drums conspire to create a sense of transcendence and euphoria. The infectious drums have their own space in B2 The Lonely Drums. This mix has an irresistible groove that will make all dance floors bounce. 

The artwork by Pagliara’s dear friend, NYC-based artist Ben Ross Davis (https://www.benrossdavis.com), captures the essence of Pagliara’s music through a vibrant and emotive visual language, reminiscent of the pioneers of abstract expressionism. The geometrical forms and patterns mirror the intricate melodies and pulsating beats of this future classic EP.
