Sophistication swims through Karolina’s release, with perfectly placed cinematic vocoder lines and tasteful flashes of electro. 

'Spinal Emotion' is another distinguished synth lead track rich with intelligent earworms rattling through beautiful instrumentation. Triggers and responses dance off each other with ease. The record culminates in the menacing, artful dissonance of ‘They Are Coming', a compelling, aptly named track with a captivating arcane nature. Karolina Bnv leaves listeners with an enticing cliffhanger of what is to come.

Next up on Balearic Ensemble is the first off two outings by Claptrap label boss Vanity Project, kicking of proceedings via a double-sider of synth-laden cosmic funk with luminaries Joe Morris and Romain FX on remix support. File under Italo / cosmic / balearic!
Smart midtempo cruiser ‘Multi Level Music’ sets the tone with a low-slung 303 roll, propelled along by congas and discrete piano house stabs, soaring leads and subtle vocoder charm. The ideal summer build-up track to orient the dance. Second track ‘Ponzi’ is an emotional 80s cruiser, going wide with shimmering pads and big 707 toms. An italo dream sequence evoking the golden age of the flamboyant discoteque, ready for deployment on your local dancefloor.
On the remix front Joe Morris sends out a sleek, shuffling version of Ponzi, bringing his maven drum work and trim low-end production for a deep space excursion into uncharted territories, and Fauve Records torchbearer Romain FX sends off the release with his version of Multilevel Music, playfully arranging sampled choral chops and octave keys to whirl and spin its way into a spiritual balearic crescendo.
