Ton Lebbink was a true Dutch cult figure. He has been mostly known for his work in the eighties, where he paired absurdist and witty Dutch wordplay with stripped down wave-instrumentals. This mixtape introduces you to his far lesser known nineties era, where he went from being a bouncer to becoming a fitness instructor, and replaced his voice with a Roland W-30 sampler.

Specifically recorded for his aerobic classes, we take off with a production of Lebbink himself that then blends into club-cuts he bootlegged from the radio. This adventurous mixtape seems the right prelude to the upcoming release ‘Wat Doe je Met Me?' on Dutch music label RUBBER – a 12’’ EP containing three Ton Lebbink dance productions that never saw daylight.

This week on the GF series is the talented DJ and musician Gael. The Berlin-based artist is known for her distinctive blend of techno and experimental electronics, delivered with energy and style. As a producer, she's featured on labels such as Standard Deviation, System, Topot, Meta Moto, Minor Adjustments, Kashev Tapes, and most recently a shared track with Egzotikka on the newly launched Comme des Larmes VA. She combines this stellar body of work with scores, installations, and live performances under her alias shemovesshe. Her touring schedule is pleasantly packed with appearances at Berghain, Oxi Club, Institut Fuer Zukunft, Mala Junta, and native ∄ where she is also holding a residency at a queer party ХІТЬ. Lock in for an hour of raw, atom-splitting electronics.

Ladislav Zensor (Exhausted Modern, Oblaka) is a Czech musician and sound designer. His interest in music dates back to the early 2000s when he fell under the spell of illegal rave parties during their golden age in the Czech Republic. After a number of years experimenting with DJing, music production, and street art, his primary focus shifted to music in 2007. In 2011, he spearheaded the Endless Illusion record label, releasing music from underground artists based in the Czech Republic and beyond, putting on regular events, and gaining international recognition. After a decade in existence, he brought the label to a timely close in 2021 and joined forces with the new LTE records project. Ladislav is a prolific producer, releasing music on the likes of Brokntoys and Veyl, has presented his live set at Lunchmeat festival and in countries across Europe, and is a resident of Ankali, Prague’s reigning night club for electronic music. Also known as Layup, Exhausted Modern, and Oblaka, Ladislav has used different monikers to explore and transform his style of production throughout his music career. He’s now trying his hand at commercial and theatrical work, and is collaborating with the contemporary dance group 420PEOPLE.

Chris has released his most recent music on a variety of labels including Squirrels on Film, Sons of Traders, Italo Moderni, Black Lodge, Soil, and his own imprint Feral Colony. Additionally, he holds a monthly residency with Mutant Radio, showcasing future releases and current favorites.
