First time on NACHTIs Ambient Stage, but certainly not the first time on stage, LINO REX has played herself into the memories of their primarily laying listeners with dubby tunes and thus created a rhythmic, lulling feel-good atmosphere on late Saturday afternoon. @linol_music has the talent to take her listeners on a journey between percussions and bass, on a dubby trip that can be constructed even after a month again within your own four walls. Spanish shoegazers Bélver Yin have become the stuff of myth over the years since their debut album Luz Bel back in 1991.

Luz Bel was a quintessentially Mediterranean angle on slow, reverb and echo-laden atmospherics and despite radio play, a lack of distribution led to the album being largely overlooked. Disappearing into folklore and the annals of long-lost music geekery, it wasn't until Efficient Space’s faithful reissue in 2020 that the album finally got the attention it deserved. New album, "Para Mi Madre." is an intimate collection of recordings written by front man Pedro L. Ortega, it serves as a parting gift to his late mother, convincingly sounding like it could have been written back in 1991 to boot!

A familiar face around the Dutch capital, Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Kennedy has been immersed in music and records for over two decades, putting into practise his mantra of moving both the body and the soul.

While day-to-day he can be found behind the counter at Red Light Records pushing wax, as well as being part of the team at Jamie Tiller and Tako Reyenga's Music From Memory imprint, his own musical endeavours see him taking over the waves at Red Light Radio and running his own Dream Machine imprint, which he launched last year with a debut record from himself. 

This year will see him release a second on the label and also debut overseas on DJ D.Dee's renowned Pacific Rhythm imprint. In the run up to these production outings, we asked him to take the reigns for this week's Shine A Light On mix, which sees him serve up a soothing selection of music for the soul...
