"It felt very special to be playing to people again, after so long, in a location like Tisno and with so many other great artists playing across the weekend. A lot of us had been waiting a long time for something like this. I played around sunset at the Nest on Friday. The set was a lot of fun and I felt like I had the freedom to go wherever I wanted to go with it. There is a moment in the Philipp Otterbach track that I played where it goes silent and there is just a female vocal talking, and at that moment it felt like the whole of the Nest was locked into what she was saying. From there, we knew everyone was on the same wavelength and the energy for the rest of the set was amazing."

Since learning the ropes in Glasgow’s underground with early releases on Optimo Music and a residency at the famous Art School club, Thomas Lea Clarke aka https://soundcloud.com/mrtcmusic has spent the past 10 years delving into the recesses of experimental electronic club music with his own productions, playing live shows, doing some remixes, mixing and meeting a lot of people along the way. We first met in 2016 both spinning at a Blue Cheese party. These days he works at a radio station and tends to https://soundcloud.com/phasegroup, the label he started with Lo Kindre.

His hobbies are spending time on his own recording sounds, or to be with close ones, eating something good, having a drink and sharing a moment. He runs to keep fit and likes spending time in nature whenever he can. He's easily distracted, not sure if that’s a bad thing though - if he's good at working on multiple things at once, or bad at focusing on one thing at a time.

His mix meanders through some kind of dreamspace with ghostly appearances. He's in no hurry but quickly grabs you by the throat. 'Wherever you may go in life… just don't stop the dance'

We'll say it outright: as mood builders go, you'd be hard pressed to find a better one all year. Ausländer - the team-up between Wax’o Paradiso resident Andy Hart, springtime Upfront MVP Fantastic Man and “Melbourne’s number one partyboy” Tom Lally - have gone one further than most in the self-promo game, grouping three eponymous tracks for a release on Hart's own Voyage. This "First Contact" version is the outlier, but in its bid to eschew the floor, it winds up squarely in the centre.

No kicks to speak of, but with chiming tones, liquid rhythm and a sort of Rainbow Road-redolent SFX palate, it is pleasingly malleable — we've tried a few times already, and this sidles up comfortably next to most things in sets. Expect to hear it warming up a dance near you soon.

VYG04 is out October 19th – & you definitely should grip the vinyl for that glorious cover art.

Sepehr Alimagham for his debut album ‘Shaytoon’. Drenched in nostalgia from his upbringing, ‘Shaytoon’ pays homage to 1970s Iranian albums that were on rotation throughout his youth. Eight tracks of twisted acid, left-of center electro, sludgy psychedelia, and things-you-can-maybe-call-techno are a few of the sonic elements found within. Regular listeners will find Sepehr’s signature perspiratory dance-floor vibe, but some songs also showcase a low-slung, cerebral approach. Sepehr's unique sonic palette carves an interesting space in the dance music world by harnessing the spirit of his cultural ancestors. The artwork pays tribute to ‘70s Iranian pop and funk albums with bold Farsi calligraphy and portraits by Sahra Jajarmikhayat. In relation to the music, the album cover creates a dichotomy much like Throbbing Gristle's ’20 Funk Jazz Greats’. Berakhs (Dance).
