Since 1991, Tresor has provided a home for artists to develop their ideas for advanced new sounds and broadcast them to the world. The pioneers that first traversed the Detroit-Berlin connection and were at the forefront of a new cultural movement gave to Tresor its original and continuing mission: community, resistance and reshaping the world to come.

The Tresor 30 compilation represents a major landmark in this continuing history of electronic music. This unique collection of music profiles some of the artists that gave the previous three decades of Tresor its sound and foundation, but it also casts its gaze forward. Writing new postcards from the future, this collection brings new artists who maintain a connection to that original mission to the fore, charting ways in which this ethos can continue to build bridges and break walls in the next 30 years.

Bringing together 52 essential tracks - both classics and exclusive commissions - each of the 12 records in this box-set charts a unique line of flight from those artists that helped define the shape of this new music to those who continue to pattern its landscape further.

The future is bright and it’s now.

The Observatory - Vand

Next up on our mix series is London-based sound artist, DJ, live performer, and event curator @Avsluta. She is the founder of Introspective Electronics, an ambient and downtempo platform that hosts regular radio shows, guest podcast series, and intimate listening events.

As a DJ and producer, her work navigates both listening and dance realms, fluidly moving in between chill-out rooms, clubs and festival dancefloors. Tuning into the energy of the people and spaces, the performances are fuelled by dialog, intuition and improvisation.

Known for her psychedelic and narrative-driven sets, Nelly crafts immersive and trippy sonic journeys, blending emotional depth with a distinct psychedelic touch. Together, they’ll explore the depths of deep techno, mind-bending psychedelia, and trance-inducing rhythms — a vortex of tension, texture, and release.

This week. welcoming a dear friend and one of my all-time favourite DJs & producers, Swiss wizard @agonis-amenthia - part of the mystical Basel crew - @amenthia-recordings.

A "techno" sound so unique, modern & boundary pushing, it makes you question the genre entirely. Agonis has become known for his bass, techno, dub, idm-everything.. infused releases, always meticulous and full of surprises. On top of a an extremely reliable and exciting back-catalogue of music and always on-point curation of Amenthia alongside his label co-head Garcon, he is also an incredible DJ. Here for Animalia a special mix inspired by many special shared moments on the dancefloor <3  pure euphoria!

For our opening mix, we’re delighted to share a recent Steam Room session with the Bangkok-based selector and producer Sunju Hargun. 

For two hours, he delivered a masterclass of immersive, deep and psychedelic techno. And true to style, the set is a seamless flow of intricate rhythms and subtly shifting textures, shadowy grooves and pulsating basslines.  

This mix was mastered in the Area52 Studio.

Now officially comprised of BMG & Erika they have continued to furrow their own idiosyncratic path through the contemporary electronic landscape. It’s this uncompromising view that now comes into focus with their kaleidoscopic mix. From the pulsating experimentalism of Jed James and r2π, to the tweaked electro of Techmarine Bottom Feeders and Datawave, nuanced techno of Forest Drive West and Mike Parker to the tough industrialism of Rhys Fulber and SHXCXCHCXSH they take us on a pilgrimage to all four pillars of the Techno anti-rule book. With their live shows pushing an improvisational and organic format, this DJ mix sees them tackle the dancefloor with a more direct, pressure building intensity.
